A number of dams such as Tekeze, Gibe I, II, III generate electricity in Ethiopia. Still they have not satisfied Ethiopia's electricity supply shortage, a country with minimal commercial and industrial use. Now, The GERD, stripping of political sensationalism in naming it as such for a civil engineering structure, should be renamed Abbay Dam, was announced two weeks ago, to generate almost full electricity minus two turbines, by thee Clown Oromuma PP Chair Abiy Ahmed himself. What would it take for Ethiopians to have an interrupted power supply? Dam the Red Sea Ocean at Berbera?
