Nothing surprising! Clan behavior. That is how things are planned in most of Africa. Planned in a reverse manner and get things done eventually 
They are intending to write a book: "Abiy, the Oromo PM who protected environment and lived a head of his time"
We know Ethiopians are probably the worst in the world when it comes to opportunity to own MV. Due to exorbitant taxation. Only gov and company office holders or private traders are opportune enough to own car. MV is a luxury good in that poor mismanaged cadre owned country.
The oldest cars you will never see elsewhere may be roaming in the city.
