The Cardinal Question is going to get an Answer, finally.

ኦሮሚያቱ ፎጦቀመ ሞ ኦሮሚያ እራ ፎጦቁ?

read the title of the following video. This is a long standing and cardinal question in the Oromo and other Ethiopian elites well for over half a century.

The late OLF-Cadre in the name of Batte Urgessa, who admitted in a public interview that he spent more of his study time discussing politics with student peers than concentrating himself on his field of study while he was a university student, failed to clearly answer this cardinal question while calling himself a high-ranking official of the organization. He later dropped out of the university and joined the organisation as a guerrilla fighter.

OLF (which means Oromo Libration Front) wanted to achieve the secession of the Oromo people from Ethiopia and failed to clearly articulate the goal over the long history of its existence. Much less clear in stating on how that could ever be practicable, removing the trunk of a tree while keeping the branches intakt. Is it possible?

The simple answer based on a logic is that this is not possible and OLF remained confused the whole of its history by failing to realize the simple logic. Batte Urgessa was a victim of such a confusion. RIP for the deceased.

The next logical question with regard to the rest in the country, if they wish, then they can go. There is no need to make much an ado. If Amhara wants to go, let them go. Ethiopia will remain intakt afterwards, if the Tigreans want to go, then let them go and the same is true with the rest, I think. It is not what I wish, but if they dream of such a journey, then let them go. Either they have to decide and go, or have to cease to dehumanize the great Oromo people by sticking around, while the latter are busy building the country from bottom up.

If they fail to choose one of the paths, then they will also similarly stay confused the same way OLF did for the whole of its existence.

They can stay confused but can't keep bad-mouthing the great people of the Oromo.
