Real leader of Russia emerging: Dmitry Medvedev: Death for death, Eye for an eye

Post by Halafi Mengedi » 22 Mar 2024, 21:46

Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, shook the world tonight with his response to the attack on Moscow. While expressing his sincere condolences to the families of the victims at the Crocus City Hall concert venue, Medvedev's tone turned into a chilling vow of revenge.

"If terrorists linked to the Kiev regime are proven to be responsible," he declared in a firm and unwavering voice, "then any notion of a fair trial becomes irrelevant. These individuals, along with their ideological instigators, must be hunted down and eliminated without mercy." Medvedev's words went beyond targeting only the attackers.

"This includes officials within the state who committed such a crime," he argued, hinting at a potential spillover of the conflict beyond the immediate perpetrators, raising the specter of retaliation against the Ukrainian government.

The Deputy President's message was a sharp call for an eye for an eye response. "Death for death," he declared, repeating the brutal logic that often fuels cycles of violence. He argued that traditional legal procedures would not be sufficient in the face of such barbarism.

"Courts and investigations will achieve nothing if force is not met with equal force," Medvedev said, his words suggesting a potential escalation beyond arresting the attackers. This statement sent chills around the world, raising fears of a wider conflict.

The attack on Crocus City Hall left Moscow in shock. Emergency services report about 140 injured and at least 40 dead, and another 100 people are missing in the burning building. Rescue efforts continue amid the unfolding tragedy, but Medvedev's message casts a dark shadow over the city.
Medvedev's statement caused a storm of international condemnation. Leaders from around the world called for restraint and a thorough investigation into the attack. The United Nations Security Council is expected to hold an emergency meeting to address rising tensions.

Medvedev's rhetoric could worsen the already strained relations between Russia and Ukraine and trigger a series of terrorist attacks in both countries. The ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine has claimed thousands of lives and displaced millions.

The prospect of a wider war is high, threatening the fragile stability of the region. The next few days will be crucial. The investigation into the attack must be swift and transparent to determine who is responsible and prevent further bloodshed.

The White House confirmed that they are collecting information about the case, but that they have no evidence that Ukraine is involved in this terrorist act.
