☘️ ONLY IN ERITREA ☘️
He's a 70 years old grandfather who lost an arm during Eritrea's war for liberation, fighting against not one, but two of the world's super powers and their aid-fed minions next door. He won!
Again, when Tigray terrorists invaded Eritrea in 1998, he answered the call of duty and mowed down the marauding terrorists with a gun he fired with only one arm! He won!
30 years ago, after winning Eritrea's independence against overwhelming odds, the one-armed gallant warrior borrowed some money from the Eritrean government and purchased a farm tractor to grow his own food. Self Reliance. Today, he's a very successful farmer contributing to Eritrea's amazing success in achieving food security. He grows wheat, corn, potatoes, and vegetables.
"I plant 10 Quintal of potatoes and harvest 130 Quintals every 4 months, for a total of 3 times a year." he said. He lauded the government for focusing most of the developmental projects in the rural areas of the country to narrow the socioeconomic gaps between the rural and urban areas. "Its almost as if the government is not in the cities," he said with a smile.

Thank you for sharing this inspiring story, Fiyameta. It's heartwarming to hear about the resilience and resourcefulness of the Eritrean people. Despite the challenges we face, we continue to find ways to overcome and thrive. This is a testament to our strength and determination. It's important to highlight these positive stories and showcase the amazing things that are happening in Eritrea.Fiyameta wrote: ↑13 Mar 2024, 20:15He's a 70 years old grandfather who lost an arm during Eritrea's war for liberation, fighting against not one, but two of the world's super powers and their aid-fed minions next door. Re: ☘️ ONLY IN ERITREA ☘️
Some may ask why we built 780 dams across Eritrea. Well....
"... The first thing was water. We must have drinking water. So it was important for us to use every drop of water that came down from the sky. We decided to clean all the rivers, and the clean drinking water made a different quality of life possible (it raised life expectancy and greatly reduced infant and maternal mortality rate.) All we had was this tiny island and its location, so we built up the infrastructure to make it a first-world oasis in third world region. We aimed for first-world standard of infrastructure, maintenance and human behavior....." --- (Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew)
