(1) Egypt Influence on Superpowers against Ethiopia
- Egypt being the broker of the Middle East Arab-Israel conflict has a huge leverage on influencing the policy of superpowers on Ethiopia. That was clearly visible by the covert statements of President Trump directly threatening Ethiopia that Egypt could bomb the GERD. It is appropriate that Abiy joined BRICS , since that will help him to play his cards against Egypt with the Superpowers.
( 2) Egypt has been the traditional leader of the Arab world and using them to marginalize Ethiopia and its citizens
- Hundreds of thousands of Ethiopians has been expelled over the years from Saudi Arabia since the start of the construction of the GERD, simply to put pressure on Ethiopia. As of today Abiy depends a lot on United Arab Emirates but that is too risky.
- Egypt has been trying to control Ethiopia using the Arab companies and countries investing in Ethiopia and that will intensify in the years to come .
(3) Egypt has been mobilizing Ethiopia's neighbours against Ethiopia
- President Sadat was behind the Arabism of the Horn of Africa and the concept of " Great Arab Somalia" which resulted in two wars with Ethiopia and caused the collapse of Somalia. The scattering of Somalis throughout the world was the by product of the Egyptian involvement in the Horn of Africa .

( 4) Egypts involvement on Ethiopia and using Eritrea as proxy.
Egypt has started organizing ethnic based liberation fronts starting the 1950's
and the current ethnic strife in Ethiopia was initiated and cultivated by Egypt over the last seven decades. Egypt organized the Eritrean Liberation Front ( ELF) and its agents in Palestine Liberation Organization ( PLO) also organized the terrorist EPRP to topple and create internal instability of the Emperor Haile Selassie government. It also supported directly or indirectly liberation fronts such as EPLF( that was formed by Isaias and his comrades), TPLF , OLF, Sidama Liberation Front , name it all ethnic based liberation fronts small and big.

(5) Isaias Afeworki the front man in destroying Ethiopia
Egypt has recruited Isaias Afeworki as its main agent to destroy/ fragment Ethiopia so that Ethiopia is unable to complete the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam or force it to sign a zero sum water share agreement that will enable Egypt to control the rivers of Ethiopia feeding the Nile and politically control Ethiopia similar to Sudan
(6) Egypt killing Ethiopian leaders
Meles was killed by Egypt. Isaias and the then EPRDF opposition in diaspora were also involved.
( 7) The Tigray Genocide is the 1st phase of destroying Ethiopia
The Tigray genocide was to kill TPLF as punishment for building the GERD and to destroy the Tigray people so that Tigray's impact on the continuity of "United Ethiopia" is avoided. Once Tigray is destroyed the next plan has been to exploit the rivalry between Amhara and Oromia and destroy Ethiopia and that is being accomplished during this time.
(8) Currently Egypt is planning to start a proxy war against Ethiopia using Eritrea, Sudan and Somalia - a tough time ahead for the Abiy government.
External attack against Ethiopia synchronized with the ongoing internal conflicts are expected to be beyond the ability of the Abiy government .
Egypt has also started campaign to relocate the African Union and other international organizations out of Ethiopia siting security related issues.
The Way forward:
Ethiopia is under the plan of God and God does not allow the disintegration of Ethiopia. Hence, the Ethiopian government has to call for a nation wide three day fasting, repentance, reconciliation prayer toward God. PM Abiy could lead live on TV the repentance and reconciliation event from his palace, while religious leaders could lead their respective followers prayers from the place of their convienence. PM Abiy must listen to what God says on Ethiopia and implement accordingly.
The Ethiopian government has to deploy its intelligence units both at home and out of Ethiopia to monitor the activities of Egypt and timely neutralize them.
