Forget about comparing Abiy's views on Asseb to those of Meles. The Weyanes, led by Meles, were extremely apprehensive and fearful of Eritreans, particularly the EPLF, as it posed a significant threat to the survival of the Weyanes as a dominant force. The coward Eplf Army was defeated by derg-ethiopia army and the Jebha -Eritrea Liberation Front Army 40 years ago when they begged the Tigray People and TPLF to save them which they did a mistake that costed Tigray People today.

The Tigray People and TPLF including us we genuinely believed do to the past ethiopia leaders and Derg brutality on innocent Tigray People felt Eritreans should decide their own fate and we Saved them on the battlefield and gave them independence on a silver platters.

The coward EPLF was hiding in Nakifa for 30 years without any significant military victory when the Tigray People liberated the entire Tigray in 1989 while Shabia waz still hiding in Nakifa.

Not only that the Tigray People and TPLF fought in 8 provinces in ethiopia to defeat the Derg Ethiopia Army,eprp army,e.d.u Army, Jebha -Eritrea Liberation Front Army and they finally liberated ethiopia by themselves.

The Tigray Keeping Derg fighting all over ethiopia gave the coward EPLF army the courage to do little fighting to enter Asmara.

But for you amhara the Tigray People kindness to Eritreans to give them independence was seen as weakness because that is your culture.
