There are hundreds Youtube war / conflict reporters who spend all day getting upto the minute information on a particular conflict and earn good money selling youtube videos. I think he does it for money. He lives in Pakistan (probably some rural area very cheap to live). I am sure he earns more that a teacher doing these videos. He was reporting on Libya / Syria / Turkey conflict before the Tigray War. The Tigray conflict is main source of income. I believe he would include any party's narration in his analysis if they are happy to pay him.

It is difficult to be reliable if you are into breaking news business.Obviously, accuracy is usually compromised for timeliness. But, I found him relatively reliable during the Tigray War when I was following Tigrigna and Amharic media owned by the opposing parties. I am sure he pays habesha translators to translate Amharic, Oromiffa and Tigrigna videos and documents.

I used to get bored with his English at the beginning. The trick to make his videos tolerable is to skip the first 2 minutes and then listen to him at 1.75 speed. That is how I listen to all conversation videos and podcasts, to be honest. Try it.

How to Speed Up YouTube Videos

First, you want to go to Settings shown below
Go up to ‘Speed’ and set to 1.75 (or 2 when it is Ermias or Habtamu ).The higher the number, the faster the video will play.

Thank you in ancient form for the detailed info, Brother Sarcasm. I saw his video may be a couple of times and wondered why he sored his throat in discussing something that didn't relate to his 'interest.' Now I know that 'Money' is the interest. Not sure but I think I have seen a captured photograph (or video) of him in Ethiopia (Addis Ababa) a few months ago, after the Pretoria's agreement

Thank you again, Sarcasm, for the 'speed' recommendation too. It is a useful option; and sometimes I do so (slower the speed) especially watching a complicated modeling tutorials recorded in time-lapse.

I think they probably helped to save some lives and reduce the causality numbers. Tigrayans in Mekelle were told "ራስህን አውጣ!" by the ENDF colonel. Imagine if the residents of Gondar were told that. Imagine if they were told "ውጣልኝ በሉዋቸው!"

You are just using his personal view, not the facts on the ground. It is rather the OLF-ENDF that was eager to use towns and churches as the field of the battle, at least for two reasons.
1) Assuming all Fano forces will come out en masse so that it can drone them instead of looking for them in every jungle and cave under the rock.
2) OLF ( Orommuma) are chronic inferiority complex ridden zealots, their lifetime dream has been destroying any marks of Amhara civilizations ( castle, monasteries, artifacts, etc.). They are always eager to turn Amhara infrastructure into rubble, like in Tigray.
Thus, Fano are not fools taking risk and alienate their base. They got what they wanted at this first phase: Destroyed BEADEN( it is irreversible); captured many advanced weapons. Took positions in striking distances to further paralyze OLF-ENDF. Surprisingly, no Fano has been captured so far since the war started 5 months ago. You must be very much surprised by their quality and capability – started with empty hand right from their farm field, now armed with sophisticated weapons that burns tanks, military vehicles, even airplanes. You must be down when TPLF with 3rd grade generals armed to teeth, like a country, turned into uselessness.

--- Public support (Fano) is qualitatively different mass wave (TPLF). Fano has public support, but TPLF used forced conscription ( every household member had to send family member else either they would be killed or no food aid). We all saw the picture of the mass wave Tedros Adhanom bragged about – it was abhorrent.
