We defend the truth, not personalities!

Post by DefendTheTruth » 29 May 2023, 06:45

The core of a democratic governance is the ability of the stakeholders to raise critical questions and seek answers. Those who have been asked should be in a position to address such questions, those who have labelled (unfounded) allegations against others should be required to substantiate their accusations and be held accountable themselves. This is how a democratic governance could be nurtured and be developed to the next level.

The current Ethiopian parliament has been one of those very few where critical questions have been raised, and also addressed. There was even a demand in the parliament for the resigination of the PM, while the person who raised the demand was from a party that represents a tiny fraction of the parliament, as such doesn't entitle him to raise such a question. It could be considered an abuse of one's own responsibility in such cases.

Currently I don't see that much lively debate in the regional parliament of the regions, or don't know if such a debate might be allowed. But I saw one time when Obbo Taye Dendea Aredo was raising a critical question over the report heard in the session. Oromia region can't afford to suppress such legitimate questions or try to cover up.

The people have a critical concerns with regard to many issues currently prevailing in the region like lack of peace, security, lawlessness and lack of accountability of those in power. People can't go after their businesses freely, there are a lot of robbery, kidnappings, ransoms, and many more. And the regional government seems to be either not willing to address it effectively or unable to do it.

In the abscence of peace there is not any development that is going to be sustainable. If you have failed to do your homework, then you are also required to vacate the positions, it belongs to the people, not you.

By saying this I am not trying to accuse anybody so far, or legitimizing the accusations raised against those in power. I don't have any concrete evidence for both sides, but trying to make my ears open for both sides.

What is your purpose of scribbling here? Why do you bother spending your time here on this forum?

Can you answer the above two questions with honesty?

You don't have a problem making judgments mostly outlandish ones on those you think are against Abiy and his oromuma hooligans, but when the question is raised by one of their own you went all forensics. Taye is not saying anything new than what has been said here in this form, or reported by many other media with evidence. The truth is known by everybody , you are suffering by the naked "king "syndrome. Everybody is sees it but not you " the true defender of the truth" Funny

TGAA Tangaga,

slow down, Taye didn't support your position. He simply called for accountability, which is in order as far as the allegations are substantiated.

Such allegations can't be substantiated by the junky and ameteurish videos fabricated everywhere this days and you carry around as if of any value. That should be your bitter pill.

I seconded Obbo Taye and demanded for a coroborations (of the allegations) .

Did he call anywhere for a transitional government? No where, that should be your second pill, swallow it, even when bitter.

You are using the plight of the innocent as a cushion for your hunger of power. That is not what Obbo Taye is calling for or supporting. So, slow down.

Mismanagement is not the same as a structural problem, as such the solutions also differ.

Did Obbo Taye call for tearing down and throwing away of the country's constitution? No where! On the other hand that has been what you have been telling us all along in here. That dream is a pipe-dream, swallow your third pill. If these three are not yet enough then we have to refer you to yet another specialist treatment center!
