What's the US stand concerning the PFDJ?

Post by Eripoblikan » 26 Mar 2023, 22:07

What's the purpose of repeating policy that lacks coherence and is essentially ineffective?

Does the US really care about the Eritrean struggle for rule of law or does it intend to hijack the struggle to serve its need? Is it looking for a proxy?

Does the aspirations of the Eritrean people line up with the strategic view of the US concerning the Red Sea?

What economic interests does the PFDJ have in US territory that can be affected by sanctions?

Is PFDJ major threat to US interests or a minor nuisance?

Is there any meaningful support the US has given to reform-minded Eritreans?

TPLF is actually a practical lesson on why so much dependence on foreigners is not good. Meles was poisoned by Egyptian spies on US soil with the tacit approval of the CIA. By that time, the US has already achieved its strategic objective of containing al Qaeda affiliated groups in the Horn. Their next objective was to purchase shares in Ethiopian parastatals which Meles declined.

Hence, I think it is prudent to keep a safe distance from US politicians.

Oldie Wuruncilla Tarik,
Your Torserawit father and your agame motha are blessing you from hell.

Eri,

The US is not concerned with Eritrea. It is fishy. Isn't it. Isayas may still have a very strong connection with the US. Who knows ? If he was a real enemy of the US, do you think they would stand him till now ?  Remember Gadaffi, Sadame Hussein and co. They crossed the line, hence they met their maker unceremoniously. Assad's aszzz was saved by the Soviets. Isayas knows who really to mess around with. Not, the likes of powerful nations the US for sure. Eritrea is not enough for Isayas. He can sell it for peanuts if he wants to. Remember that I am giving you the permission to lead us speech to Abbiy ? What a sovereign leader would say that and get away with it. It makes you think hard. It does really makes you think that, does Eritrea even deserve its independence ? The people are surely mute. I can't blame the majority who make a living by tilling and working hard on their lands.

My thoughts exactly! Isaias has never threatened the US to the extent they deemed necessary to oust him.
