That is just BIG LIE AND FAKE CHEAP PROPAGANDA. Oromiyya have the right to use its own language as well as any other languages it prefers. Same for Amhara and other regions. But in the federal organizations Oromo amhara, tigre, Somali, etc. and other languages can be official languages.

There is no any rational democratic reason as to why only amaharic needs to be the the sole official language in a multinational state just like the bygone feudalism one language, one religion, one culture, one values artificial fake tyrannical dictatorial system, long dead and gone for ever.

Our languages, our religions, our cultures and values can be diverse in a diverse country because they are the basis of our creativity and multidimensional development efforts.
