You can hardly call Amharic for Semitic language, it is more Cushitic rather than Semitic. Amharic is infant aka a juvenile child in comparison to Tigre and Tigrayit. In regard to the number of people who speak the language. Hebrew which is a semetic language is spoken by less than 6 millions but there are more scientific books which are written in Hebrew than Arabic which is spoken by more than 400 million inhabitants hence, the number of inhabitants who speak the language is not a parameter to measure the advancement of a language. You’re the Maferiya. Amharic is a Semitic language. Period!

You can’t call it Semitic & Cushitic at the same time. Tigrigna shares many features with Arabic but that doesn’t necessarily mean it originated from Arabic.

You must be foolish. A language that ranks being the 2nd largest spoken Semitic language came after the language spoken some margin. Amharic is not only the most spoken but the oldest. You can hardly call Amharic for Semitic language, it is more Cushitic rather than Semitic. Amharic is infant aka a juvenile child in comparison to Tigre and Tigrayit. In regard to the number of people who speak the language. Hebrew which is a semetic language is spoken by less than 6 millions but there are more scientific books which are written in Hebrew than Arabic which is spoken by more than 400 million inhabitants hence, the number of inhabitants who speak the language is not a parameter to measure the advancement of a language.
