Just a curious question to Ethiopias

Post by euroland » 06 Feb 2023, 09:29

We, the Eritreans as well as the dominant Eritrean Orthodox Church stay away from putting our fingers on your church crisis matters since this isn’t our “ball” to play; however, when the TPLF and its population overwhelmingly decided to separate its Orthodox Church from its root, the EOC, even though an Agame Pope is at the EOC helm, why wasn’t any opposition then from all parties, including from the Diocese and its hardcore followers? Tell us the difference between what the Oromo diocese and the TPLF diocese did against the Ethiopian church? Why harsh response when the Oromos doing it, accusing them as splitting the EOC but never criticize the Agames when they did worse than separating while they were treated better than the Oromos, even having to rule the EOC since 1991?. Just curious

Why because they are fellow habesha and gallas are not that’s the only difference and explanation. Tigrayans are proud people and higher then the amharas but the amharas feel they own the gallas that’s the difference

abiy security officials are attacking churches and jailing priests and killing believers. it’s not what is happening between believers but what the government is doing that people are opposing

btw all tigray arch bishops are in addis meeting the patriarch. tigray orthodox, muslims and protestant all religions were told by tplf to distance themselves from ethiopian religions during the war

everybody knows that never came from the churches themselves. the moment they got the opportunity they are back to addis synods as we are witnessing

you can’t compare the two

if the government didn’t take side and attack churches no one would blame the government for internal church problems

there is no fighting between oromo vs amhara believers. all clashes are between abiy security and orthodox believers. the rebel bishops never said they want to establish oromo synod.
