I never heard the Prime Minister make such remarks, but if I have to cautiously take your words for it, he was perhaps referencing to the medieval period, where Feudalism was a system of government that used religion as a weapon of subjugation. Sadly, today, some Paper Tigers are still stuck in the medieval times that they love blaming the current government for their own mental health issues when a simple visit to a psychiatrist could do the trick.

Did he say that after the hateful extremist hateful naftagna zealots like you were teaching, preaching and claiming that the Oromo language is the language of the devil which must be destroyed and avoided or is it when some of the hateful extremist neftegna secret society debtera cult clergies were teaching, preaching and claiming that the Oromo language should never be presented and spoken on TV and Radio receivers because the Oromo language will break the TV sets and Radio receivers.?

Here I am talking about the facts on the ground which happened at the beginning of the 1990s when the Oromo language Qube script was being planned and implement so as to make extremist neftegna debteras to beome outraged and paranoid. Why do some of these clergies love to possess forked or double tongues like Lizards, some times saying that the government should never interfere in their internal affairs. These they are saying when they thought that they have practically killed and buried the new faction clergies.

But then to the surprise the new clergies rose from the grave just like Jesus and start claiming their rights. These time the old school faction clergies changed their minds and tactics by actively starting to call on the government to destroy the new faction on their behalf to protect the one language, one religion, one culture, one value, one world view, one human view, one value old school private limited exclusive monopoly company.

When the government who is the government of all Ethiopians did not intervene on any ones side other than trying to control emotionally driven and politically motivated wrath and violence and kept away from doing the killings on their behalf the old school clergies showered curses and declarations of chaos and unending violence on the government itself, claiming that it has own military, police and militias ready to act at the old school patriarch's call from the throne. And the Patriarch did call for violence on multiple times. But Ethiopians are not fools!

These only shows that these old school medieval clergies are left behind thousands of years and are now like Square Peg in a round hole. MISFITS! They have to update themselves and become the servants all the diverse languages, cultures and value systems.

How come Eritrean government interferes in religious affairs ! Shouldn't that be good for the goose good for the gander.

This is purely Ethiopian matter. Why do some Eritreans take it their responsibility to discuss about Ethiopian internal affairs? My principled stand is to always avoid such threads. But anything to do with Eritrea be it positive or negative I try to comment/defend my nation.
