The Ethiopian Orthodox has to handle the split legally & carefully! Has to also focus on repentance & renewal!
No need for more blood shed in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church has the legal right to go to court and ban the splinter group from taking over churches. Once the court gives order it is up to the government to enforce it. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is among the most corrupted institutions in Ethiopia both from spiritual and administrative aspects. Spiritually it is practicing idolatry by allowing images, tabot , saints and Angeles to be worshipped giving them equal or better position to our Lord Jesus Christ. Their are a lot of evidences that promotions within the clergy are done either through bribe , connections or both. The Chruch has contributed a lot to the unity and culture of Ethiopia but needs immediate renewal if it has to stay relevant by being salt and light to the world.
