My belief is that Isaias is not insane; nonetheless, his disdain for Eritrean ex-pats returning to Eritrea and watching them build a summer property in Massawa or seeing them drive luxurious automobiles drives him insane.
As a consequence of this, he concluded that he would rather the entire country of Eritrea be decimated than for Eritrean ex-pats to be able to enjoy themselves in their homeland.
