Horus which Abysinnian language is closest to Guragegna?

Falash = West Gondar
Agow = West Gojjam (Awi)
Tcheretz = Wagshum (Beta Hemre)???

Gafat seems to be a bridge between Amharic and Guragigna. I always wonder how Gurages survived the Oromo onslaught in the 16-17th century but Gafat did not. Gafat and Amharic are mutually intelligible which means Amharic speakers can understand Gafats and vise-versa. By the way both Bekele Garba and Negaso Gidada are Gafat converts to Oromo

Gurage formed their own powerful Feresgna Dynasty under King Sebhat even Menelik and Ras Gobana struggled in subduing the Gurage it took 14 years for Gurage to be subdued after being fought by Amharas and Tulamas + European weaponry....... after Gurage fell they contributed largely in Ethiopias Military ie Balcha Safo, Habte Giyorgis Dinagde joining the nations military ranks


for example the tiny Werje Harari Argoba preserved their identity because they became Muslim and were able to strengthen their identity same with Silti who became Muslim the Sodo who became Christian and the Wolene who became Muslim this may have preserved the identity

The Muger and Endeberet Gaffat are said to have been conquered assimilated and pushed into southern gojjam by tulama and their gudifechas. in 1775 the Gafat still lived south of Gojjam it was in 1800s when Gafat were removed from West Shoua entirely. This means Gafat assimilated in a period of 400 years

Also why did the gafat not estabilish their own royal dynasty or any relations with Abysinnia?

The strength of Guraghe is also mysterious and largely undocumented

Zer'a-Ya'qob utilized the facilities of Debre-Libanos.
He built new churches in these areas and staffed them

men going to our king Zer'a-Ya'qob to be
complimented for their (recent) conversion
and their baptism in the name of the
Trinity."
The Gafat Pagans remind me of Axum Pagans who worshipped "Awre" their pagan worship story reminds me of many other stories across Abisinia prior to Judaiasm-Christianity

"The strength of Guraghe is also mysterious and largely undocumented" ብለሃል። ያ የህልውናቸው ሚስጥር ያዘሉ ሶስት ነገሮች አሉ ። አንዱ የጉራጌ ሴራ ይባላል። ሴራ ወይም ስኛት ስርዓት ማለት ነው ። እያንዳንዱ የጉራጌ ጎሳ ወይም ክላን ሴራ አለው፣ ይህ ሴር ልክ በሕግ አምላክ እንደ ሚባለው በሴራ አምላክ ወይም በጎርደና ሴራ ይዤሃለው ካለ አንድ ሰው ሌላኛው ይቆማል ። ለምሳሌ ዛሬ የጉራጌ ወጣት ብዙ የማያምጸውና ብዙ ሁከት የማታየው ሴራው ትዕዛዝ አውርዷል ። እነሱ ከመንግስት ጋር የሚያደርጉት ውይይት እስከ ሚያበቃ ድረስ ምንም ሌላ አመጽ እንዳይደረግ ። ይህ ከጥንት ጀምሮ ያለው እና ማህበረሱን ያደራጀ ሲስተም ነው ።

ሌላው የጎጎት ቃል ኪዳን ነው ። ጉራጌዎች እጅግ ከፍተኛ የጋራ ጠላት ሲነሳባቸው የያንዳንዱ የጉራጌ ኮሚኒቲ ለምሳሌ 7 ቤት፣ መስቃን፣ ሶዶ የጋራ ቃል ኪዳን ይማማላሉ ፣ አብረው ለምቆምና አንዱ አንዱን እንዳይከዳ ። በዚህ የተነሳ ከሃዲነት በጉራጌ እጅግ እጅግ ከፍተኛ ጥፋትና ጸያፍ ነው ። ለምሳሌ ዛሬ ላይ በክልል ጉዳይ ያገር ሽማግሎች ከወጣቱ ጋር ሆነው የክክልነት ጉዳይ ለማስፈጸም ቃል ስለገቡ ይህ ቃል ኪዳን ነው እንደ ብረት ገትሮ የያዘው ። ብጽግና በጉቦና ምስፈራራት ሊከፍፍል ይጥራል፣ ግን አይሳካም !

ሌላው ከጥንት ጅምሮ ያለ አጉራጠነ (ራስገዝነት) የሚባለው አደረጀጀት ነው ። ጉራጌ ለኢምፔሪያል ነገስታት ገብሯል ግ ን የውስጥ ራስገዝነቱ ጠንቆ ነው የኖረው ። ያቢይ አህመድ ወጠጤዎች አዲሳባ ሆነው በማያውቁት ሕዝብ ላይ የራሳቸውን አገዛዝ ሊጭኑበት ሲነሱ አሁን ያለው ቅሌት ላይ የደረሱት ።

ስለዚህ .. ሰርዓት፣ ያንድነት ቃልኪዳን እና ራስገዝነት ናቸው የጉራጌ ጥንካሬ ምስጢራት !
