Feb. 24, 1972 , President Numeiry of Sudan, publicly supported the Eritreans struggle for liberation.
President Gaafar Numeiry of Sudan announced here today (1st Feb) that Sudan will fully support the Erittean people to ''liberate themselves'' from Ethiopia.
Numeiry, called on the African States to remove the headquarters of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) from Addis Ababa.President Numeiry was speaking during the 2nd National Congress of the Sudanese Socialist Union (SSU) which has been meeting in Khartoum since Jan 25th.
