PM Abiy Says Somali Region Cluster Farming Output is Remarkable

Addis Ababa August 14/2022

Addis Ababa August 14/2022 /ENA/Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said Somali region cluster farming output is remarkable.

Prime Minister Abiy pointed out that the Fafen Zone wheat belt has been reviewed today.

”We reviewed the Fafen zone wheat belt today on which more than 127k hectares of wheat is being farmed with expectation of more than 8 million quintals to be harvested.”

This is an example of productivity in prior forgotten areas, the premier said.

He further recommended that these efforts need to be built upon and expanded. “Our thinking and engagements need to be fully diverted to productivity and development.”

It is to be recalled that the government of Ethiopia has been working to enhance wheat import substitution by intensifying the domestic wheat production in various parts of the country.

Absolutely! Planting lots of trees constantly all over Ethiopia and concentrating on wide spread farming needs to be encouraged and strongly supported if our people have to survive and out live the new devastating global climate and environmental changes now said to be the worst in 500 years, according to clarinetists. Non stop heatwaves, overwhelming droughts and spreading fires all over the world specially in the USA, Europe, African and Asia is very frightening and does not give world population much breathing times any more. Nature seems to be saying, "enough is enough!"

Ethiopia is now awake at the leadership level but it needs to spread among the people, motivating them, taking care of their environment, farming diligently and producing to the maximum possible with no corruptions and or bad intentions. Now Ethiopia is starting to gain good reputations internationally due to its environmental and agricultural policies encouraged and implemented during the current government. We want more... we want more....!

Else begging and dying will soon become just routine in Ethiopia and other places. And all of these familiar basic activities are known to Ethiopians and the PM is ahead of his time and leading from the front. YES HE CAN! Either you catch the waves or the waves will catch you!
:P
