Namibia, EU, Agree on Partnership for Sustainable Raw Materials
Windhoek, Namibia —
Ahead of COP27, Namibian and European Union officials say they have reached an agreement for Namibia to export rare earth materials to the EU.
According to Erasmus Shivolo, commissioner of mines at Namibia’s Ministry of Mines and Energy, the EU is interested in developing the mining of minerals like lithium, cobalt and graphite, which are currently mined on a small scale in the country.
Per Shivolo, "The EU is the one saying, 'Well, Namibia has got certain minerals that are critical to the energy transition and therefore we want to explore opportunities in working together to develop projects in that space.' "

European countries are literally begging Namibia and other African countries for minerals, Africa is home to 70 percent of the world’s mineral reserves, It holds 65 percent of the world’s arable land and the largest reserves of cobalt, diamonds, platinum and uranium in the world are in Africa.
Africa is a blessed continent.

Re: Will Eritrea ever catch up with Namibia
Agame lady,
Why are you obsessed about Eritrea ? Good or bad, Eritrean situation should not be your problem or should it ? You are not Eritrean. Where ever Eritrea is, it is Eritrean problem. Why drag the good people of Botswana into your inferior complexity against the Eritrean people? Botswana is doing very good, good for them. It looks like jealousy and inferiority complexity is part of your heredity. What a shame.

Shell and Total Namibia oil discoveries
DAKAR, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Namibian offshore oil and gas discoveries by TotalEnergies (TTEF.PA) and Shell (SHEL.L) are of commercial quantities,
An estimated 11 billion barrels in oil reserves have been found off Namibia’s coast, with the first production planned within four years, mines and energy minister Isak Katali announced Wednesday.
The finding could put Namibia on par with neighbouring Angola, whose reserves are estimated at around 13 billion barrels and whose production rivals Africa’s top producer, Nigeria.
