The TPLF is not only evil they are foolish too.
No matter where they are located - Gojjam - Shoa -Wollo - Gonder- Addis - anywhere in Ethiopia I have never seen a united voice of Amharas when comes to Welkayit Tegedie, Raya and Kobo. For them negotiating on this territories is like negotiating on Ethiopia.
The TPLF will fair far much better making peace with the Amaharas. They will let them work and live if they approach the Amharas peacefully.

It will be a grave mistake if the TPLF assumes Welkayit is an issue for the Gonderies alone.
I listened too many interviews and touched how sensitive the issues are for Gojjam and Shoa Amharas. Probably they sensed once it started it will not stop there.
If given a chance the TPLF and EPRP will not hesitate to exterminate the Amharas by throwing them in a gas chamber.

I think you are talking about Restoration of Status Quo Ante which is a standard textbook conflict resolution condition which every international org, government or mediator supports. The other alternative is to allow the warring parties to keep territorial gains achieved in the conflict. Such arrangement would be a recipe for future never ending wars, though.

When TDF started its incursion into Amhara and Afar regions, the international community started to demand restoration of status quo ante bellum (which included withdrawal of TDF from Amhara & Afar) . See US's demand in August last year below. Part of TDF's acceptance to withdraw from Afar & Amhara is Abiy's agreement and International community's guarantee that Amhara Region will vacate Western Tigray.



All other regions including Afar are categorically opposed to Amhara Region keeping Western Tigray as as they won't have any legal basis for the other regions' regional territories afterwards. Regions and their boundaries were setup in the early 1990s. Before then, there were no regions. Tigray or Amhara have not changed thier boundaries since they were setup.Tigray Region did NOT Western Tigray from Amhara Region. አማራ የሚባል ክልል ኣልነበረም።

Other non-Amhara regional governments promised the then transitional government of Tigray that they will militarily reverse the forcefully annexation of parts of Tigray Region territory by Amhara region. Sri Lanka's defence ministry has said the country's rebel Tamil Tigers face "total annihilation", after at least 420 were killed in three days of clashes.


AFP - At least 420 Tamil Tiger rebels were killed in three days of clashes in northeast Sri Lanka, the military said on Sunday, as troops moved to wipe out the guerrillas after decades of conflict.

Security forces won control of the village of Puthukkudiriruppu where the bodies of 250 rebels were found on Sunday alone, spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.

"We have recovered 420 bodies in the past three days," Nanayakkara said, adding that the Tigers had now been pushed into a 20-square kilometre (eight square mile) no-fire zone designated by the government.

There was no immediate comment from the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), who have admitted losing territory to advancing government forces in the coastal district of Mullaittivu.

The remaining LTTE fighters were "now facing total annihilation as the soldiers are engaged in man-to-man combat against them in the last terror pocket," the defence ministry said in a separate statement.

The Tigers have been encircled for months in a small area of jungle by government troops who appear close to ending the separatists' long campaign for a Tamil homeland.

"The Tigers don't have much ground now. They are in the safe zone that we declared and in the periphery," Nanayakkara said, adding that security forces had suffered slight casualties during the battles.

Both the Tamil Tiger rebel, in Sri Lanka, and the Tigre rebels, in Ethiopia, are tribal cults. Cult insurgency naturally do not have that much life expectancy. They are like a dew, you see them in early morning, a few hours later, they are gone. The Tigre rebel movement is almost fading or dying like Tamil Tigers. They TPLF movement is flickering for an eventual blow out. I don’t even consider OLF in this category. OLF is just ትርፍ አንጀት it is not worth talking about it.

You seem to assume that Tigray Region has taken Western Tigray from Amhara Region. That is not factually correct. Tigray Region did not take any land from Amhara Region. Regions and their boundaries were setup in the early 1990s. Before then, there were no regions. Tigray or Amhara have not changed thier boundaries since they were setup.

Haile Selassie's Gonder, Shoa, Wello and Gojam are not equal to current Amhara Region.

በዚህ በተሳሳተ አመክንዮ መሰረት ጥያቄው የሚቀጥል ከሆነ ጦርነት የማይለኮስበት ክልል አይኖርም፡፡ ለምሳሌ፡- አፋር የሚባል ክልል አይኖርም፡፡ ምክንያቱም ቦታው ከወሎና ከትግራይ ክ/ሀገሮች በተገኘ መሬት የተዋቀረ ስለሆነ፡፡ ቤንሻንጉልና ጉሙዝ የሚባል ክልል አይኖርም፡፡ ምክያቱም ከጎጃምና ወለጋ ክ/ሀገሮች በተገኘ መሬት የተዋቀረ ስለሆነ፡፡ ወዘተ…


ጥያቄውን ለመመለስ የተሞከረበት መንገድ፡-

ከአማራ ክልል የተነሳው የመሬት ወይንም የርስት ጥያቄ ስህተት እንደሆነ ከላይ ገልጫለሁ፡፡ ይሁን እንጂ የሚነሳ የማንነት ጥያቄ መኖር የለበትም ማለቴ ግን አይደለም፡፡ የማንነት ጥያቄ ማለት በአንድ በተወሰነ ቦታ፤ ለምሳሌ በወልቃይት፤ አብዛኛው ነዋሪ አማርኛ ተናጋሪ ሆኖ በትግራይ ክልል ውስጥ እንዲካተት ተደርጎ ከሆነ ጥያቄው ለማንነቴ ምላሽ በሚሰጠኝ ክልል ውስጥ ልተዳደር የሚል የመብት ጥያቄ ነው፡፡ ይህ ጥያቄ የሚቀርብበት እና እልባት የሚያገኝበት መንገድ ደግሞ በህገመንግስቱ አንቀጽ 48 “የአከላለል ለውጦች” በሚል በተቀመጠው ሰላማዊ አግባብ መሰረት ብቻ መሆን አለበት፡፡

አንቀጹ የሚለው በአጭር ሲገለጽ፡- ጥያቄው ሲነሳ ጉዳዩ በሚመለከታቸው ክልሎች በስምምነት ይፈጸማል፡፡ መስማማት ካልቻሉ የፈደሬሽን ምክር ቤት ጥያቄው በቀረበለት በሁለት አመት ጊዜ ውስጥ የመጨረሻ ውሳኔ ይሰጣል ይላል ፡፡

ከዚህ ከላይ ከተጠቀሰው ህገመንግስታዊ መንገድ ውጭ የአማራ ክልል አሁን በተያዘው የጦርነት መንገድ ለመፍታት መሞከሩ አደገኛ ስህተት ነው፡፡ አደገኛነቱ ደግሞ ለሌሎች ተመሳሳይ ጥያቄ ለሚኖራቸው ክልሎች “መፍትሄው ጉልበተኛ መሆን ነው!” የሚል የእርስ በርስ የጦርነት አዋጅ ስለሚሆን ነው፡፡

ህገመንግስቱ ለትግራይ እንዲበጅ ሆኖ የተቀረጸ ስለሆነ ዋጋ የለውም የሚባል ከሆነም፤ ስለዚህ መጀመሪያ ህገመንግስቱን በሰላማዊ መንገድ መቀየር ነው፡፡ አለበለዚያ የዚህ ሁሉ ዘመቻ ዳንኪራ ተልእኮው ህግም ድንበርም የማስከበር ሳይሆን የመተላለቅና ዘር የማጥፋት ይሆናል፡፡ ይሄም አያ ተቤው (አያ ተበጀ፡ ተስፋ ስንታየሁ በጻፈው “ጨዋታ-ጦቢያ በእየሩሳሌም” በሚል መጽሐፍ ላይ ያሉ ከጎንደር የፈለሱ ቤተ-እስራኤላዊ ገጸ ባህሪ ናቸው) እግዜርን ሲወቅሱት “አንተ ምናለብህ ቤትህን ሰው እማይደርስበት ቆጥ ላይ ሰቅለህ የተቆጣ በየት አድርጎ ያግኝህ!” እንዳሉት፤ አዳሜ ምን አለበት ግፋ በለው እሚለው ከወላፈኑ ርቆ በሌላው ደም ነው፡፡
