TPLF is not in any shape or from ready to start war. When it resorts to conscript young kids with resistance to it growing, morale sinking to the bottom, letter writing is the way to go. That has been what TPLF was doing for awhile now. In the letters they could brag they are ready to go all the way to Addis if something is not done. I believe that is a cry for help.
More than anything the International community that the TPLF politicians depend on for rescue are becoming confused.
What does TPLF need ? No one in this world — including the TPLF leaders — knows.
I do believe if they start war they know it will be the final showdown.
It is my guess they keep writing letters.

The Woyannies are trying to take advantage of a weak Ethiopian leadership.
The Ethiopian high command didn’t take the war very seriously. And they will pay the price for it.
The Americans are on this regime change game. As long as there are groups that are willing to die like the Woyannies do, The US deploy money, weapons and logistics towards regime change. Money may grind out this as we have seen it before. War fatigue and mistrust of ENDF has already affected the Amharas. ENDF too will be susceptible to bribe and conspiracy as the war prolongs mysteriously.
Abiye must go and he will go. Someone who takes this war seriously and finish it in a short period of time as it should must take over. Otherwise it is going to be a vicious circle.

The Horse is full of contradictions.
The PM is a deadman walking and he has to blame no one but himself.
In his comment on another trade, the Horse said “unless he dropped ethnic politics. Abiye will go down with it”. That was a correct analysis. And now he is scribbling this garbage.

Abiye has no allies. Dr Birr is not an ally. He is waiting with a long knife for a perfect opportunity for an ambush.
The Ethiopian people supported Abiye from the get go but he dropped them like a hot potato by letting criminals Sebhat N and Abay W. walk free. He shovel dirt on their face by mishandling the war and by his embrace of ethnic policy.

Do not under estimate the people.

Normally, society gives the benefit of the doubt when leaders including dictators screw up on major policies but handled the economy well.

The Abiye administration simply couldn’t grasp the fundamentals to handle the economy well. Inflation is out of control and exports has declined. With out a hard currency that the export should generate imports is a difficult task. And as long as the current ethnic policy is in place, there will always be conflict. In other words the country will not be stable to attract investment. Who would invest today in a country like Ethiopia?

A usd15000 Versace tailored suit, an expensive hair do and handmade leather shoes will not cut it. It is for what it is: fashion show.

A perfect opportunity has now presented itself for Dr Birr. He has been waiting for this all his life.

Abby's biggest mistake is not in what he did or did not do. That is constrained by reality and he has limited degree of freedom there. Abiy's biggest mistake is in what he said and did not say. His rhetoric and narrative has confused the very people who initially supported him wholeheartedly. What you say and do not say is as important as, if not more important than what do and do not do.

Abiy has muddled the water by his immature statements, and has confused people about his intentions. He committed too many unforced errors, and he has nobody but himself to blame for this.
