Welkait is back to it's root. This is called restoring sanity. The identity thief TPLF disgracefully kicked-out means justice served for Ethiopia in general, for Tigres in particular because they no more illegally possess other people land. Accept the new normal and move on.

I understand( may not completely agree on your claims) the issues you raised but the other side could also list counter claims and arguments.
In Westaern Tigray we have the following composition of people:
- Tigrayn Welkaites who settled their pre 1991( a lot of them have been forced to move to Central Tigray) and the remining under coercion by the Amhara militia and administration.
- Amhara Welkaites who settled their pre 1991
- Tigrayans from other parts of Tigray settled post 1991, mainly for economic reasons ( Most of them were forced to move to Central Tigray)
- Amharas settled post November 2020( These came with an intention of bringing demographic change)

Decision have to be made how to conduct referendum as per the constitution, we know that even pre 1991 more than 90 % of the people of West Tigray are Tigrayans and it looks the Amhara Welkitaes may not be willing to go for referendum. But this issue has to be decided by the constitution. We should not also forget that Tigray lost a territory bigger than Western Tigray to Afar , because the majority of people in that area are Afars. In my view Western Tigray will remain in Tigray or Ethiopia should go back to the Archaic Unitary Ethiopia. Amhara Welkaites may get a special privilege's such as, schools for Amhara speaking students or Tigrigna and Amharic to be used as working language in areas where Amhara Welkiates are in more numbers etc.

Hmm! 1) Amharas have never migrated to your dryland in Ethiopian history. In fact no other ethnic groups want to enter your resourceless region. It has been always the other way around. 2) Pre-2018, most of the Ethiopian embassies and ministries were fully packed by people from the welfare region called Tigray. It’s your right to migrate wherever you want & settle but that doesn’t mean you can steal peoples’ lands and history.
