ትምህርት ሚንስትር ሚዛናዊ እና ከፓለቲከኞች ግፊት ነጻ መሆኑን ለህዝብ እና ለትውልድ ማረጋገጥ አለበት። ትሚ/ር እየተወቀሰ ነው።
ከተለመደው እጅግ ወጣ ያለ ክስተት ሲታይ (under extraordinary circumstances) ፥ ነገሩን እንደ ካድሬ እንደ አንድ ነጻ ግለሰብ ሁኖ መመርመር ያስፈልጋል። በእርግጥ ይህ ጦርነት የብዙ ታዳጊ ወጣቶችን የትግራይ፥የወሎ፥ አፋር እና በከፊል ሰሜን ጎንደርን የወደፊት ብሩህ ህይወት ከትምህርት ገበታ ላይ አስወግዶ እስከ ወዳኛው እንድጨልም ሁኗል። ብዙዎች እድላቸው ያነሰ ሞተዋል፥ ሌሎችም ወደ ግብርና ወይም ሌላ መስመር እንድ ገቡ አድርጓል። ይህ ግልጽ ወያኔ ደርግ ጋር በተዋጋችበት እና ተቆጣጥራ በነበረችባቸው ገጠር ወረዳዎች የብዙ ታዳጊዎችን የትምህርት ዕድል አጨልማ ገበሬ እንድሁኑ አድርጋላች - ጦርነት ህይወት ያሰናክላል ከሞት ባሻገርም። ይህን ካልኩ ዘንዳ።
ጦርነቱ አጭር ጊዜ በቆየባቸው የአማራ ክፍል (እንደ ወሎ ክፍለ-ሀገር ማለቴ ነው)፡ ትምህርትር ሚኒስተር የተለየ እርምጃ መውሰድ ነበረበት። የመመዘኛ ፈተናውን የመግብያ ነጥብ ዝቅ ማድረግ አለበለዚያም ሌላ የተለየ የመግብያ መስፈርት በጦርነቱ በተጎዱት ዞኖች እና ወረዳዎች በሚገኙ ትምህርት ቤት ትምህርታቸውን ለጨረሱ ተማሪዎች በማድረግ። ይህ ደግሞ ጊዜያዊ ስለሆነ ህግዊ ቅቡልነት አለው። ትምህርት ሚኒስትር ይህን ሳያደርግ ዝምብሎ በጅምላ ልማዳዊ አሰራር መከተሉ ኢ-ፍትሃዊ ነው።Because, even if these students belong to the same cohort year, there had not been equal level field for the significant part of Amhara region was under siege.
ሌላው ስህተት የታሰበበት እና ያልተሰበበት ወይም ድንገተኛ ሊሆን ይችላል። ስህተት አይሰራም ማለት አይደለም። አቤቱታው ከበዛ - ችግር አለ ማለት ነው። ወጣ ያለ ችግር. The error could be human ( intentional or non-intentional or machine).Under such circumstance, the Ministry of Education cannot shut down the request and appeal of students and their parents. It also plausible to suspect OLF-PP cadres could be pressuring MOE or have their undercover cadres working in the Scholastic test center. It is immoral for anyone to deny these students whose academic aspiration is cut short because of political manipulation. If the Ministry of Education is independent, it should create a task force :
1) First to identify schools that were in the war zone and create a different College/University entrance and give them a fair shot ( maintain equity) ;
2) For,those other student from school’s non-active war zones, again Ministry of Education should let out-side experts to evaluate the reliability of the test correction machine, the hard or electronic copy of the test sheet/bubbled answers/. This can be done on a randomly selected sample group of students form the region. 20,000 students complaining or appealing is not a small matter. It trashes the credibility of Ministry of Education(MOE). The MOE should let out-side independent evaluators to see if the process and the staff at MOE objective are, career professionals not political thugs.

የኢትዮጵያ ትምህርት ትግበራ በብዙ መቶ ሺዎች በአካባቢው ባሉ መምህራናን ሰራተኞች የሚከወን ስራ ነው ። አንድ ሰው አግባብ ያለው ምስጋም ሆነ ወቀሳ ለማድረግ ጠቅላላ ፖሊሲ ብቻ ሳይሆን በየሎካሊቲው ምን ነበረ፣ ምን ተደረገ፣ ለምን የሚሉ ፋክቶች ማወቅ የግድ ይላል። ስለሆነም ት/ሚ የት ምን አደረገ? ለምን ብለህ በመንገር ለትችትህ መሰረትና ምክንያት ማሳየት አለብህ ። በኢትዮጵያ ተማሪ ሆነን በፖለቲካም ሆነ በሌላ ነገር የትምህርትም የፈተናም ግዜ ተቋርጦብን እናውቃለን ። በነዚህ ሁሉ ታሪካዊ ኩነትና ምሳሌዎች ተመልሰን ግዜ ተስጥቶን መደበኛ ፈተና ተፈትነን መማር ያለብንን ተምረን ማወቅ ያለብንን አውቀን ወደ ሚቀጥለው ደረጃ ያለፍነው እንጂ አንድም ግዜ ፈተና ይቅለልልን፣ ሳናጠና እንለፍ፣ ሳንማር እንሸለም ብለን አናውቅም። ይህ ሰርተፊኬት ለማግኘት ፈተና ይቅለልልኝ፣ የማለፊያ ቁጥር ዝቅ ብሎልኝ በዲ እና በኤፍ የኮሌጅ ተማሪ ልባል የሚለው ፈሊጥና የውድቀት መንገድ የዘር ፖለቲካ መሃይሞች፣ የእውቀት ሳሆን የኮታ ንጉሶች ያመጡት አሳፋሪ ባህል ነው። ተማሪዎች 6 ወር የትምህርት ግዜ፣ አመት የትምህርት ግዜ ጠፍቶባቸው ከሆነ ያን ግዜ ወስደው ደግመው ማለፍ እንጂ ሳይማሩ ትክክለኛ ፈተና ሳይፈተኑ ሊያልፉ በፍጹም አይገባም ። በጦረነት አካባቢ የትምህርት ስርዓት በመቋረጡ ማድረግ ያለባቸው ወደ ትህምህርት ተመልሰው ትህምህርታቸውን ሜካ ኣፕ የማድረግ መብታቸው መጠበቅና ትክክለኛውን ፈተና ወስደው በተወሰነው ማለፊያ መስፈርት ማለፍ ነው ያለባቸው። የቀረው ልክ ቄሮ ፈተና በመስረቅና የጎሳ ከበርቴ ፈተና በማደል የሚያደርጉት ጋር አንድ ነው ። ስለዚህ የት/ሚ ምን እንዳደረገ ፋክቶቹን ማሳየት የግድ ይልሃል።

To add my two cents to what you have said what is worrisome about what happened in Amhara region is that many students who suppose to get high scores were given failing grades which latter was found to be incorrect. In old times this would never happened. From Berhanu's statement, and from what we have known, meritocracy has been thrown out of the window since weyannes came to power. The challenge for Berhannu's Education minister is changing this entrenched ethosized education system that has been churning out incompetent cadres instead of skilled competent manpower. Berhanu just got there so he has a herculean challenge to change the system. Before making a change, first, he has to make the system work as it intended, honesty. I mean that he has to make sure the scoring system is not compromised by fraudulent Ethnic cadres. Because once the incompetent student passes and join the universities he/she will graduate manipulating ethnic politics (I got a low grade because the teacher is
Oromo /Amara excuse) and they will end up leaders of the society again by sheer manipulation. So even at this stage before a radical change to the educational system is instituted, we have to make sure the qualified students get the chance to join higher educational institutions. Regarding students affected by the war, they rather repeat the class than be pushed to attend college because of political decisions.

የት/ሚ የአማራ ተማሪዎችን ሆነ ብሎ ጥሏል የሚለውን ክስም በለው ፍርሃት ወደ ጎን አድርገን ስለ ጎሳው የት/ ስርዓት እናውራ። ፕሮፍ ብርሃኑ ይህን ስራ እስከ ያዘበት ግዜ ድረስ ብዙዎቹ ክልሎች በተለይ የኦሮሞ ክልል ፈተና ለተማሪዎቻቸው በመስጠት በገፍ ሲያሳልፉ ኖረዋል ። ይህ በፋክት የሆነና በዚያም ምክኛት ብዙ ፈተና የተቁረጠበት፣ የተላለፈበት ግዜ ነበር። ትምህርት የሚከናወነው በክልል መንግስት ስለሆነ ካንድ ሁለት ወር በፊት ፕሮፌር ብርሃኑ ይህን ጉዳይ አንስቶ ፈተና እንዴት ተደርጎ ከክልል መንግስታት የዘር ክፍል አሳላፊዎች መከላከል እንደ ሚቻል ስለቴክኖሎጂና ሌላም ሲያሳውቅ ነበር ።
ስለሆነም የኦሮሞ ክልል መንግስትና ሌሎችም የክልል መንግስታት ፈተና ለራሳቸው ዘር ተማሪዎች ሰጡ ቢባል 100% የማምነው ነው ። ለምሳሌ በእውነትም 152 ሺ ያለፈ ተማሪ 130 ሺ ኦሮሞ ከሆነ የኦሮሞ መንግስት በፈቃዱ ፈተና ሰጥቶ ያሳለፋቸው ናቸው ማለት ነው ። ያ እራሱን የቻል ጉዳይ ነው ። በእኔ እምነት እያንዳንዱ ማትሪክ ያለፈ ተማሪ በሚመደብበት ኮሌጅ በፌደራል ፈታኞች መግቢያ ፈተና በመስጠት ካላላፈ አጥንቶ እንደ ገና እስከ ሚያልፍ የኮሌጅ ምዝገባውን ወደ ሚቀጥለው አመት ማስተላልፍ ነው።

የትምህርት ሚኒስትር የበርካታ አሥርት ዓመታት በጎሳ ፓለቲካ ደዌ ተጠቅቶ የወደመ ተቋም ነው። ገነት ዘውደ የምታባለው የወያኔ ቢጫ ወባ ገዝግዛ ገዝግዛ በመጨረሻም ለተወራዱ የጎሳ ቡችላዎች አስተላልፋ የካድሬ ማፍለቂያ እና የድንቁርና ማስፋፊያ የሆነ ድርጅት ነው። ፕ/ር ብርሃኑ ነጋ እንደዚህ አይነት የሞተ ተቋም መረከቡ እና ይህ የነቀዘ ድርጅት ያካበተው የአሰራር ባህል አስቸጋሪ እንደሚሆን ግልጽ ነው። እየተንከባለለ የመጣው ችግር በአንድ ምሽት አይጠፋም - ችግሩ አሁን የለም ማለትም ስህተት ነው። ይህ ችግር የፕ/ር ብርሃኑ ችግር አይደለም - ተቋሙ ተጠፍጥፎ የተሰራበት ጡብ በጎሳ አስፈጻሚ ካድሬዎች የተሰራ ስለሆነ። ዋና ፈተና የሚሆነው ፕ/ር ብርሃኑ በምዕራቡ አለም የሁን በአለም ዙርያ ባሉ ከፍተኛ ተቋማት ያለውን ባህል ለማስፋፋት በድፍረት ቢጥርም የትሚ/ር ራዕይ እና ተልዕኮ በእርሱ የግል መርህ ላይ ከፍተኛ ተጽዕኖ ያሳርፋል። እንደ ዜጋ መልካም ሊመኝ ይችላል የሚል እምነት አለኝ - እንደ ሚ/ር ግን ከፍተኛ አጣብቂኝ ውስጥ ይገባል። ምክንያቱም የተቋሙ ነፍስ እና ስጋ በጎሳ ላይ የተዋቀረ ነው። I am not sure if Prof. Berahun's authority commensurate his responsibility. የ35 ሚሊዮን ወጣት ህይወት (30% የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ማለት ነው) የሚወስነውን የት/ስርዓት ከወደቀበት የ30 አመት ውድመት ማንሳቱ ብቻ ሳይሆን ከተመሰረተበት የ30 አመት የጎሳ ስርዓት ማውጣቱ አይደለም 6 ወር 6 አመት በላይ ይወስዳል። ይህን ተራራ የመግፋት ሃላፊነት ብርሃኑ ደጋግሞ ተናግሮታል ። ልብ በል ኮሊጅ እንጂ 1 እስከ 12 ትምህርት የክልል መንግስት ስራ ነው ። በሌላ በኩል አንድ ተማሪ ኮሌጅ የሚያገባው አካዳሚክና ምሁራዊ ብቃት የሚያገኘው 1 እስከ 12 ባለው ዝግጅት ነው ። ባንድ ቃል ኢትዮጵያ በት/ መስክ ያለባት እግጅ ግዙፍ ችግርን በቀላሉ አንስቶ መተቸት የሚቻል ነገር አይደለም ። በኔ በእኔ እምነት የጎሳው ስርዓት ሳይፈስ ባገራችን ካለም ደረጃ የሚደርስ ትህምህርት አይኖርም ። የሁሉ ነገር መለኪያ ዘርና የክልል ፖለቲካ ባጀት ስሌት ስለሆነ ። ይህ ሆነ ያ ለዛሬይቱ ኢትዮጵያ ከብርሃኑ በላይ በችሎታም ሆነ በሚዛናዊነት የተሻለ ማኔጀር ያለ አይመስለኝም። የኛ ለከፍተኛ ት/ አክብሮት ያለንና ከፍተኛ ት/ ተምረን ያለፍነው ያለብን ሃላፊነት ሰውዬውን መርዳትና በስሜት ከጦዘውን የጎሳ ሽኩቻ መከላከያ በመስጠት ፈተና በመሰረቅ የዉሸት የክልል ቁጥር የሚፈበርከውን የእያንዳንዱ የጎሳ ሌባ ከበርቴ ማጋለጥ ነው። ይህ ሁሉ በብርሃኑ ላይ እጁን የሚቀስር ልጆቹን በግል ት/ቤትና በአለም ላይ የሚያስተምር በሽተኛ ዲያስፖራ እና ሳንቲም ለቃሚ የቲዩብ ቸርቻሪ እንጂ የሰቆጣ ወይም የወልዲያ ድሃ እናት አይደለችም። ብርሃኑ ምን ያህል ስልጣን አለው የሚለው ለምናወራው ችግር መለስተኛ ችግር ነው ። የት/ሚ እጅግ ግዙፍ ስንት መቶ ሺ መምህራን ያሉበት፣ በስንት አይነት የተለያየ የባህል የቋንቋ ወዘተ መዘበራረቅ የተወሳሰበ ሲስተም ነው ። እንኳን የት/ሚ ያገሪቱ ፓርላማ እንኳ ስነስርዓት የለውም። ግን በኢትዮጵያ ካሉት የባለ ሙያ አይነቶችና ሰዎች ሁሉ መምህራንን የሚያክል ትጉህ አገር ወዳድ፣ ሕዝብ ወዳድ የለምና በነሱ ማመን አለብን። ብርሃኑ ስራውን እንዲሰራ መርዳት እንጂ ኮምፒዩተር ላይ ተቀምጦ ነጋ ጠባ መወቃቀስ የድካም ምልክት ነው። ምንም ለውጥ ስለማያመጣ!

ስለሆነም የኦሮሞ ክልል መንግስትና ሌሎችም የክልል መንግስታት ፈተና ለራሳቸው ዘር ተማሪዎች ሰጡ ቢባል 100% የማምነው ነው ። ለምሳሌ በእውነትም 152 ሺ ያለፈ ተማሪ 130 ሺ ኦሮሞ ከሆነ የኦሮሞ መንግስት በፈቃዱ ፈተና ሰጥቶ ያሳለፋቸው ናቸው ማለት ነው ። ያ እራሱን የቻል ጉዳይ ነው ። በእኔ እምነት እያንዳንዱ ማትሪክ ያለፈ ተማሪ በሚመደብበት ኮሌጅ በፌደራል ፈታኞች መግቢያ ፈተና በመስጠት ካላላፈ አጥንቶ እንደ ገና እስከ ሚያልፍ የኮሌጅ ምዝገባውን ወደ ሚቀጥለው አመት ማስተላልፍ ነው።
በጦርነት አካባቢ የነገሩ ተማሪዎች ጉዳይ ቀላል ነው ። የሚዘጋጁበት ግዜ ሰጥቶ ባመት አጋማሽ ወይም በሚቀጥለው አመት ኮሌጅ እንዲጀምሩ ማድረግ ነው ቀላሉ መፍትሄ። ከዚያ ውጭ ያለው ወሬ ሁሉ ከውነት የራቀ ግዜ ማባከኛ ነው ።

የኦሮሞ ብቃትና ችሎታ በዘንድሮው ተዓምራዊ ውጤት አያበቃም ... ገና ያንተ አይነቱ ቅሌታም ምቀኛና የአበረ አይነቱን ጉፋያ ነፍጠኛ በኦሮሞ ልጆች ብቃት አብዶ ጨርቁን ይጥላል!!!

let me ask you one simple question and answer this honestly, if you understand honesty at all.
You seem now to have been concerned so much about the state of education of the people you claim to have a concern about. That is a noble cause, because if you indeed care about a given people, then the most important issue to care about is the future of that people. The future of a given people is determined by the level of education it has got, if we are honest here
So, if you claim to have been concerned about the education of "your people" (I put that in quotation marks as it could be any part of the people of Ethiopia and beyond) what did you do in this regard so far?
Did you support the advancement of education in Ethiopia by anyway possible at any level before, creating a grassroots association of locals to raise funds to support educational endeavors, alumni associations, family foundations or even at an individual level by contributing towards the same goal? For example you can donate books as an individual to your former elementary or secondary school and similar initiatives.
Could you say what you have done in this regard so far?
If not, why were you so dormant for so long with such level of concern of trying to not miss the unfortunate coincidence of war inflicted misfortune of people? I don't mean you shouldn't show concern in this case as well but why is your concern so much abruptly?

Did you support the advancement of education in Ethiopia by anyway possible at any level before, creating a grassroots association of locals to raise funds to support educational endeavors, alumni associations, family foundations or even at an individual level by contributing towards the same goal? For example you can donate books as an individual to your former elementary or secondary school and similar initiatives.
Could you say what you have done in this regard so far?
If not, why were you so dormant for so long with such level of concern of trying to not miss the unfortunate coincidence of war inflicted misfortune of people? I don't mean you shouldn't show concern in this case as well but why is your concern so much abruptly?
I can't expect any honest answer from you here but let me give you the benefits of the doubts.

I am so much familiar with the higher education industry of Ethiopia and blessed to have contributed whatever I could within my reach. And I wish I could do more. If you happen to teach at university, for instance, then I don't think that is the kind of contribution I am talking about. My farmer father also contributed in his regular job, by contributing his share of the taxes, by providing the very basics to the market, toiling the land and enabling people like you and me live in the cities and go to schools and now also make a lot of theories on such forums. If his kinds were not there, then we all should have been doing something else. But we consider that is his career, the same is true for yours.
Like you said, you (and me) have been given an opportunity but not the millions that are the true enablers of the nation, who are the likes of my father, by providing the basics, the foundation. We should now pay-back, like you said, more according to the share we had.
You don't have to necessarily list place names or objects but can list your contribution to a given community x in place y, or school z in place w or similar things at time t and p etc.
That is what I am talking about honesty.

ከዝያ በሽፈራው ሽጉጤ ይመራ የነበረው የትምህርት ሚ/ር ምን አደረገ ? ... የሀገር ዐቀፍ ፈተናው 2 ሣምንት ብቻ ሲቀረው ተማሪዎችን ከእስርቤት በመልቀቅ ለፈተና እንዲቀመጡ ያስገድዳል።
እረፍ ተባለ። "እስር ቤት ነው የቆየነው፥ በ15ቀን ለብሔራዊ ፈተና መዘጋጀት በቂ አይደለም፥ ስለዚህ ግዜ ይጨመር!" ... ተባለ።
ወያኔን ለማስደሰት ሲጋጋጥ የነበረው ሽፈራው ሽጉጤ የኦሮሞን legitimate ጥያቄ በጭራሽ ሊሰማ ፍቃደኛ አልሆነም። ተለመነ። እምቢ አለ።
እንግዲያውስ ተብሎ ፈተናው እንዲወጣ ተደርጎ በሶሻል ሚድያ ከተበተነ በኋላ ... በአስገዳጅ ሁኔታ ፈተናው እንዲሰረዝ እና እንዲራዘም ተደረገ።
እውነቱ ይሄ ነው። የኦሮሚያን ተማሪዎች exclusively መጥቀም ቢፈለግ ፈተናው ወጥቶ ሶሻል ሚድያ ላይ አይሰጣም ነበር። ያንን ማድረግ ግን ኦሮሚያንና የኦሮሚያ ሀገር ተረካቢ ተማሪዎችን መግደል እንደሆነ እናውቃለን ። የሌሎችንም ተማሪዎች ህይወት ማበላሸት ነው። ከሞራል አንጻር ህገወጥ ነው። ስለዚህ አልተደረገም።
እውነታው ይሄ ሆኖ እያለ ... ለኦሮሞ ተማሪዎች ፈተናው ወጥቶ የተሰጠ አስመስሎ ማውራት ውሸታምነት ነው። ሐሰተኛነት ነው። ይሄ ደግሞ ቅሌታምነት ነው። ሀጢያተኛነት ነው።
ጀዋር እና ኦሮሞ ላይ ጥላቻ ሊኖርህ ይችላል። ደግሞም አለህ! የለየልህ ኦሮሞጠል ነህ። የእሮሞንና የጀዋርን እውነት ግን ጠምዝዘህ ልትቀይር አትችልም። ጭራሽ የኦሮምን እውነት ለመጠምዘዝ ስትጋጋጥ ማንነትህን ነው እያጋለጥክ ያለኸው። ብታርፍ ይሻልሃል!

Centralized college placement exam system in an ethnic-based federal administrative setup is an irreconcilable dichotomy aside from the students affected by the war. This issue first came to existence when Dracula Genet, woyane’s errand runner, became in charge of the education ministry. There had been repeated reports since then about stolen exam sheets by cadres & the police. Remember, it’s the police that secures the exam package as soon as it arrives at the exam centers. And in a country where emptying election ballots by local police & tribal cadres has become a culture, why would one be surprised if exams are stolen? In a way, the former is a precursor of the latter. Unless the politics is changed or the exam system is decentralized, blaming Birhanu alone is essentially futile. An ESLCE examiner once told me how the high-school teachers circulated exam answers from one window to the other while he was in charge so that their tribesmen/women get into college.

ጦርነቱ አጭር ጊዜ በቆየባቸው የአማራ ክፍል (እንደ ወሎ ክፍለ-ሀገር ማለቴ ነው)፡ ትምህርትር ሚኒስተር የተለየ እርምጃ መውሰድ ነበረበት። የመመዘኛ ፈተናውን የመግብያ ነጥብ ዝቅ ማድረግ አለበለዚያም ሌላ የተለየ የመግብያ መስፈርት በጦርነቱ በተጎዱት ዞኖች እና ወረዳዎች በሚገኙ ትምህርት ቤት ትምህርታቸውን ለጨረሱ ተማሪዎች በማድረግ። ይህ ደግሞ ጊዜያዊ ስለሆነ ህግዊ ቅቡልነት አለው። ትምህርት ሚኒስትር ይህን ሳያደርግ ዝምብሎ በጅምላ ልማዳዊ አሰራር መከተሉ ኢ-ፍትሃዊ ነው።Because, even if these students belong to the same cohort year, there had not been equal level field for the significant part of Amhara region was under siege.
ሌላው ስህተት የታሰበበት እና ያልተሰበበት ወይም ድንገተኛ ሊሆን ይችላል። ስህተት አይሰራም ማለት አይደለም። አቤቱታው ከበዛ - ችግር አለ ማለት ነው። ወጣ ያለ ችግር. The error could be human ( intentional or non-intentional or machine).Under such circumstance, the Ministry of Education cannot shut down the request and appeal of students and their parents. It also plausible to suspect OLF-PP cadres could be pressuring MOE or have their undercover cadres working in the Scholastic test center. It is immoral for anyone to deny these students whose academic aspiration is cut short because of political manipulation. If the Ministry of Education is independent, it should create a task force :
1) First to identify schools that were in the war zone and create a different College/University entrance and give them a fair shot ( maintain equity) ;
2) For,those other student from school’s non-active war zones, again Ministry of Education should let out-side experts to evaluate the reliability of the test correction machine, the hard or electronic copy of the test sheet/bubbled answers/. This can be done on a randomly selected sample group of students form the region. 20,000 students complaining or appealing is not a small matter. It trashes the credibility of Ministry of Education(MOE). The MOE should let out-side independent evaluators to see if the process and the staff at MOE objective are, career professionals not political thugs.
