Common, somaliman regarding Rwanda, dobyou know the current leader was the main leader for almost a million people massacred in1994? Rwanda is fully on board with corrupt Westerners that is why he is still leading. It is in, to bring the country to the right direction but making Rwanda pretty is not really change. Such leaders really act like and see Western leaders as role model, he is just partner in crime that is all. The Rwandans who know the truth of the war in 1994 who escaped have been hunted down all over the globe. Power and corrupt money makes you drunk

Biden approves plan to redeploy US troops to Somalia

By Natasha Bertrand, CNN, May 16, 2022

(CNN)President Joe Biden has approved a request by the Pentagon to redeploy US troops to Somalia in an effort to counter the terrorist group al-Shabaab, a senior administration official said on Monday.

The move reverses a decision by President Donald Trump to withdraw all US troops from the country in 2020.

The US will reposition US forces in east Africa and move to restore a US military presence in Somalia in consultation with the Somali government, the official told reporters on Monday. The official said "under 500" troops will be sent back into the country but declined to provide a precise number. He emphasized, however, that the Pentagon "will not be restoring the full contingent of operators present in Somalia before" the previous administration's withdrawal, which was about 750 military personnel.

The official described the Trump administration's withdrawal as "abrupt and sudden," and said that al-Shabaab "has unfortunately only grown stronger" since then.

"We have seen, regrettably, clear evidence that al Shabaab has the intent and capability to target Americans," the official said, noting that the group had killed over a dozen Americans in east Africa in recent years, including three at a US military base in Kenya in early 2020.

Trump's decision in December 2020 to withdraw the US personnel from Somalia was part of a broader effort in the waning days of his administration to pull back US involvement in global conflicts, including in Afghanistan and Iraq. But the Biden administration believes that al-Shabaab remains "a notable priority given the threat it poses," and that a "persistent" US presence there will be necessary to counter the group.

"This is a step that rationalizes what was essentially an irrational arrangement that we inherited," the official said, referring to the Trump administration decision. "It was irrational because it created unnecessary and elevated risk to US forces as they moved in and out of the country on a rotational basis, and it gave us less pay-off for incurring that risk because it disrupted their efficacy and consistency of their work with partners."

The official would not confirm whether Biden had authorized targeted strikes against specific al Shabaab leaders, but said that a US military presence is "not the only component" of the US' counterterrorism strategy in Somalia.

This USA airstrike has absolutely nothing to do with the so-called "war on terror" and al-Shabab.

The United States constant drone strike and military presence in Somalia is very largely driven by desire for Somalia's untapped natural resources not fear of al-Shabab, Somalia has untapped reserves of numerous natural resources that will be crucial to global economic in this century, China has already secured access to large unexploited reserves of mineral resources in Somalia.

You cannot strengthen or increase something that does not exist! There has never been a trade whatsoever between Somalia and Ethiopia to date. Somalia, minus the mindless enclave, aka Somaliland, does not even import Ethiopian khat, as it's only consumed in the north.

There's a long list of prerequisites to meet before we consider interacting with Ethiopia. Until such prerequisites are met, all we want have with Ethiopia is a mutual respect as neighbours, as neither of us is moving out.

Somalia Becomes Top Destination for Ethiopia’s Export Trade

August 21, 2021 Ethiopian Monitor

ADDIS ABABA – Somalia has taken over the Netherlands and become the top buyer of Ethiopian commodities during the 2020/21 budget year, which ended on July 7, 2021.

Export trade generated 3.62 billion US Dollars in the fiscal year, a record high in the export trade history of Ethiopia, that exported a range of commodities to 136 countries.

Somalia, which bought 347.83 worth of Ethiopian products, has established itself as the top destination for export trade, reveals the ministry of Trade and Industry.

In the previous year, the neighboring nation was the third-largest importer of the export trade, buying 298.2 million US dollars worth of commodities from Ethiopia.

According to the Trade Ministry, the Netherlands has become the second major destination absorbing 344.94 of the total exports of Ethiopia.

The European nation was the top destination for Ethiopian goods in the previous year importing $320.16mln or 10.5 percent of total exports.

The Ministry also put the United States as the third top market for the export trade. Commodities worth $293.3 million have been exported to the U.S. from Ethiopia, it says.

Saudi Arabia ($226.6mln), United Arab Emirates ($191.93Mln), Germany ($154.47mln). Djibouti ($137.47mln), Belgium ($104.23mln), India ($88.72mln), and Sudan ($88.19mln) make up the top 10 destinations for Ethiopia’s export trade, respectively.

American terrorists in Somalia 2020.

On December 5, 1992, 30,000 US troops plus 15,000 European and Canadian troops were sent into Somalia under the pretext of humanitarian aid, Then in 2006, unstable miserable Ethiopia invaded Somalia on behalf of the United States and the United Kingdom and killed more than 16, 000 civilians and displaced millions.

Old news.

Five years later, In 2011 corrupt overcrowded Kenya invaded Somalia on behalf of the United States and the European Union and killed more than 5,000 civilians and displaced another of million civilians.

Old news.

After all these miseries of war of aggression, Somalia is still standing, Both Kenya and Ethiopia will eventually disintegrate into many different independent countries very soon.

The most minerals found in Somalia are considered highly critical to the economic and national security of the United States and other industrialized countries by the USA government and the European Union, It's no wonder the USA is spending billions dollars to maintain military base in Somalia.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) old report, Somalia has abundant deposits of uranium, bauxite, copper, iron ore, platinum, niobium, tungsten, tin, beryllium, tantalum, yttrium, barium-barite, cobalt, lead, silver, gold, thorium, gypsum, salt, lithium, natural gas, oil, aluminum, zinc, gemstones, talc, sulphur, marble, coal, kaolin, granite, limestone, emerald, aquamarine, ruby, sapphire as well as vast amounts of garnet, quartz and rare earth, More extensive coverage of Somalia minerals can be found on the U.S. Geological Survey website, These minerals are the real reason why the United States has been militarily involved in Somalia since 1992.

Furthermore, It's widely known that the United States has been keeping a low profile about its exploration of natural resources and collecting data in Somalia, Since 1992, the United States Geological Survey has been secretly mapping Somalia's untapped natural resources, Nearly half of the United States troops stationed in Somalia are in fact scientists of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and CIA spy agents, Somalia is easy prey for American imperialism.

  • "Our forces are not now, nor will they be, directly engaged in combat operations," said Pentagon press secretary John Kirby. "The purpose here is to enable a more effective fight against al-Shabab by local forces.”
This is a blatant lie, the purpose here is to control Somalia and to keep on spying the entire HOA.

This American doesn't know why he is here, in Somalia.

Over a half-century ago, the United Nations Geologists discovered and mapped the vast untapped mineral deposits in Somalia, which include uranium, iron ore, platinum, niobium, copper, lithium, yttrium and other rare earth elements, though the minerals were not developed for production and export.

The United States is now spending billion dollars annually to keep these untapped and unexploited high-grade minerals from potentially falling into the hands of Chinese mining companies, the Chinese are keen on getting their hands on Somalia's vast untapped natural resources.

The New York Times newspaper reported the discovery 16 March 1968.

Somalia has been the target of America’s imperial warfare since Somalia's deposits of critical high-grade minerals, oil and natural gas entered in the U.S. Geological Survey Computerized Resource Information Bank (CRIB), A critical mineral is defined in U.S law as a non-fuel mineral or mineral material essential to the economic or national security of the USA and it’s Somalia and Africa that American geologists believe hold the most, This also hints at the real reason why the United States is spending billions dollars to fund deployments of troops in Somalia.

This is an excerpt from a 41 years old document in the United States Geological Survey Computerized Resource Information Bank (CRIB).

Somalia's untapped mineral deposits entered in the U.S. Geological Survey Computerized Resource Information Bank (CRIB) in 1981, I consider this as a data breach.

Why is the U.S. Continuing to Engage Somalia? | Opinion

Four years ago, we lost a man dearly important to us. Four years ago, Alex Conrad was killed in action in Somalia.

Before Alex left, he assured his family it was going to be a short deployment, but he was excited to again earn combat pay. Alex knew what he was getting into; knew that the U.S. Army's role in advising and assisting in Somalia would likely include combat. The question none of us seem to have a clear answer to is, "Why?"

The United States has been at war for a long time. We operated in Somalia in the 1990s, shifted focus to Afghanistan after Sept. 11, 2001, expanded the "war on terror" to Iraq in 2003, and far beyond Iraq in the years since. Somalia has once again become a place where American troops go to fight and sacrifice, though there is little understanding of what they are doing there.

China is at work in Africa with a dangerous strategy. US must act now to counter it

September 7, 2022 By Peter O'Malley | Fox News

Team Biden desperately needs to counter China's influence and craft a strategic policy that views Africa as a whole

Secretary of State Blinken’s recent trip to Africa -- ostensibly to counter China’s influence and promote free trade -- gave the distinct impression of the barn door closing. Mind you, not only after the horse has bolted, but has run into your neighbor’s pasture, and set up a good business, collecting stud fees.

Sadly, this belated Blinken effort represents more an admission of failure than a promise of success.

But before Biden-bashers bemoan yet another policy failing, it should be noted that neither party has presented a coherent vision for Africa and its 1.2 billion people.

The United States real hidden agenda in Somalia is anything but counterterrorism, the goal of the United States is to create war, chaos and confusion in the name of fighting Al shabab and finally scare off China from sourcing raw materials from Somalia.

America is a major threat to Somalia’s sovereignty, security, peace and freedom!
