PP party is EPDRF 2.0

Post by Lovetarik » 11 Jan 2022, 13:16

It appears the prosperity party operates from the same playbook that the EPDRF practiced in the past.

Although the party boasts of a unitary one party organization, in actual fact it is as fragmented on ethnic lines as the old EPDRF does. As in the old days when TPLF used EPDRF to promote its will upon others by coercion and intimidation, the new PP is controlled by former OPDO (now Oromo PP) currently exerting so much influence on the rest of member groups.

It is becoming clear that in both versions, the main function of their respective administration is to suppress percived (as oposed to observed) Amhara nationalism rather than nation building.

The politics is infested with cliques, kleptomaniacs and conspirators whose main objective is self enrichment by sowing seeds of ethnic hatred.

These parties lack vision of nation building. Despite so much rhetoric to the contrary about past Ethiopian governments, those past administrations were 100 times more visionary than the current ethno fascists.

Unless we have visionary party that is above ethnicity and that does not succumb to interest group push, the country will continue to exist in turmoil until its finally broken into pieces.

We either have to make the decision to change course now and immediately or we are doomed to fail as a nation . Any manoeuvering and continuation of the current shinanigan would only lengthen our pain. We will ultimately destroy ourselves.

Currently Oromuma under the [ deleted ] leadership of colonel Abiy and Shimeles Abdissa has the upper hand. Sadly the current leadership did not learn from TPLF's mistakes. It is repeating the same mistake of promoting ethnic extremism. This should be scary to the other bordering ethnics: Southern, Somale, Gambela, etc.
