"Ladies and Gentlemen, it is high time to announce our capitulation", Junta

But speaking to Sudans Post in Nebraska, United States, a senior diplomat of the TPLF said on condition of anonymity that a lot of factors, including lack of military supplies had forced the rebel forces to retreat saying such downward trends for the TPLF gains will likely continue for the next few weeks.

“As you know, the regime has secured armaments from neighboring countries and also some Gulf and European countries have also helped the government with weapons and this has changed the power balance between us and the genocidal forces of Abiy Ahmed,” the official said.

“These military aid to Abiy’s regime has changed the dimensions at the battle fields because we depend on weapons we captured from the enemy and so, we decided to retreat and this will continue for next few weeks,” he added.
What ever noises you may hear from the entity in the next few days, it is only about getting a "safe" pathway for itself and the looted properties of the areas it temporarily controlled.

It could try to distract the government side by opening here and there some semblance of fire and try to use the opening in response to it for the purpose. That is why they are not yet ready to make it official.

Two more crucial facts he didn't want to mention.

#1 TPLF depleted the number of it's fighters because it uses human wave (outdated tactic)

#2 contrary to #1, the rapid mobilization of ENDF, Afar and Amhara that matched and possibly surpassed agame hords number
