I stumbled upon a video titled "10 facts about Eritrea" posted by young Eritrean woman, She portrayed Eritrea as a Tigrinya country, Tigrinya speaking country and a christian country etc, which is of course a blatant lie, Tigrinya have learned nothing from their past Amhara masters mistakes, Ethiopia is historically portrayed as a christian country and Amhara country, Tigrinya are now walking in the footsteps of Amhara.


This is Eritrea, Tigrinya? christian country? absolutely not.

My point is that Eritrea is neither Tigrinya country, Tigrinya speaking country nor christian country, Tigre are the absolute majority ethnic group in Eritrea and Muslims make up a majority (70 percent) of the population in Eritrea.

Thanks abyssiniaLady for sharing the lovely Bileni song MERINA. I was anxiously looking for this song. To me it evokes a lot of memories.

Just to conclude:

The beautiful girl who looks like a half-cast and who you see her dancing is merina herself in flesh and blood.
