We reward ourselves and celebrate not because we have achieved heaven on earth but because we have finally got back on the right way of becoming a self-respecting, purposeful and conscious people. In my world, the glass is half full and hopeful and optimistic of the empty half filling up in time.

You can keep calling me DDT but I will keep trying to reflect on the reality on the ground. Means to a goal and a goal are two different things, in my understanding.

Yes, things are turning to the better direction but it is too early to call for an "urgent decoration" and many of the PM's messages seems to me to be in line with this school of thought.

Yes, we are on the streets for now but to be a force to reckon with, this mobilized power needs to be adequately channeled towards sustainable movement and effort geared towards development.

We are achieving something but not without cost, the victims need to first be inventored and the necessary remedial messures put into place, they gave their precious lives so that we can have a free nation and free people.

Millions are out of school, due to the war or already before the war, which is a loss not only to the affected persons/families but also to the nation, will going to make a burden for many years to come. Need immidiate addressing.

There are many problems that I can list here, but the objective here is not to do that. Simply put unless we transform Ethiopia and make it cope with the challenges, then there is no guarantee that we may not find ourselves in the same situation somewhere down the road.

Transforming a nation is not an easy task, but also not impossible. Requires skillful handling and managing.

The same people that are massively on the streets of western countries to demand freedom from interference of ext. powers into the affairs of the country were also quite and indifferent when the PM was touring and calling for the citizens to give him 1 $ a day so that he can use the money to build schools and other vital infrastructure.

If we sent a child to school before 3 years, that child would have been in the 3rd or 4th grade today on the way to be a productive citizen. We chose to be indifferent to making a difference. The PM didn't give up on the plan but tried to look for alternatives and went to other governments to plead with them for support his plan and by now a number of schools have been built by now, some of them top schools in the country.

There are many schools being built or already built that is financed by the office of the First Lady of the country, which is also trying to generate the resources from ext. sources.

This is only in relation to education but we can also extend our consideration to many other fields, like health care, potable water, paved roads, access to electricity and many more.

We need to be first prepared to change ourselves before we can also wish ourselves to head to the paradise.

I am optimistic too, but also cautiosly optimistic and attentively careful to not to lose sight of what is ahead of us.

I wrote this before I came to know the deal Abiy and Woyane made. I was suspecting though why Abiy went to the well-defended front by Afar fighters instead of going to the Debrebirhan front which was so critial for his seat. Debrebirhan was in need of rescuing and ENDF was retreating from the city. But all of the sudden Abiy found it important to liberate Kasagista more than Debrebirhan. Big question.

Anyways, thanks to US and Feltman, Debrebirhan and Addis Ababa are now safe even though it comes at the expense of losing wolkait and Raya.

The drama queen is back in the palace now so stay tuned for a new rain making episode soon.
