With the establishment of ELF in Cairo in 1959 with the support of the arch enemy of Ethiopia Egypt, the Eritrean freedom struggle became an inspiration for Ethiopians that were dissatisfied by the central government of that time. Among them TPLF was one and it got inspiration and technical and support from the Arab funded Eritrean movements. This time it is TDF that has become the inspiration to the Eritrean struggle and possibly providing technical and material support as well! With Tigray and progressive non-ascari Eritreans working together, Isaias's grip to power will be broken soon!
