About "Ethiopia's disintegration", "state collapse", "pending catastrophe" and all the images of a grim scenarios are repeated many and many times. What is not said even once is how is that going to happen. They know what is going to happen, but don't guess how that is going to happen.They don't even know the so called Tigray war started, but they are dead sure, that the war was started.This engagement is to the benefit of the U.S. and all others involved. The U.S., Europe and our African allies and partners have clear security, economic and humanitarian interests in Ethiopia. The implications of state collapse would be devastating for the entire Horn of Africa and beyond. Ethiopia is at the strategic center of the Horn, surrounded by Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somaliland, Somalia and Kenya.
Is this mere laziness? I doubt.
