Abiy's Anti-Tigrayanism and Holocaust have the following alternative goals:


- Goal 1: Subdue Tigray by destroying it's military machine, economy, history and culture never to assert itself again at least for the next 100 years ( that is the time between Emperor Yohannes IV and TPLF)

- Goal 2: If subduing Tigray is not possible , force Tigray to separate from Ethiopia so that it shall be out of the periphery of Ethiopian politics and make it weak and divided through sustained internal interference.

Ethiopia and PP ( EPRDF minus TPLF) are both the brain child of Tigray and Abiy has nothing to claim and ability to control their destiny. Whether Tigray remains with Ethiopia or not ( shall be decided by the Tigray people), Tigray shall make sure the future of Horn Africa including Ethiopia is molded after it's interest.

I really don't believe in the propaganda point you outlined above. Why would anyone, including Abiy think so? It is basically the fruit of TPLF which has been bullying the nation for decades and by the coincidence of history attempted to do the same dully with contempt for Abiy Ahmed's in effort and the authority vested in him. Why would one wants subjugate Tigray while it is not the economic and political center of the country? Tigray is a region that in fact need special assistance for it has special economic problem because of frequent natural disasters, erratic rainfall, and infertile topsoil. While a region less fortunate in terms of natural environment should be proactive for development and peace, is historically characterized by bully leaders that rob the peace of other peaceful. Even beginning from Emperor Yohannes, who forcefully annexed the Wollo Korem-Alamata people ( who had been in revolting in all his time) and later the genocide of Wollo and Gojjam is a clear evidence of unhealthy behavior. Imagine all the resources and efforts that even started from Emperor Tewodros invested in development and peace, we would not be talking poverty and food aid now. But, the Tigre tribes are the reason for the most part. And Abiy Ahmed is not the reason too for what is happening now; it could have happened if the PM was another person than Abiy Ahmed.
