The official Israeli broadcaster, Kan, reported that the US administration is pressuring Sudan to sign the normalization agreement with Israel and to establish diplomatic relations with it.

The pressure comes a year after Sudan has actually slowed down in this process, partly due to differences within the Sudanese leadership between the military and civilian levels in the country.

The report talked about the possibility of pushing the US administration to conclude peace agreements between other countries and Israel.

Last week, a Sudanese security mission comprising military and security officials secretly visited Israel, which came to strengthen relations between the two countries. According to Arab media reports, the mission included two senior generals from Sudan, Abd al-Rahim Hamdan Dagalo, commander of the Rapid Intervention Forces, and Morgan Idris Suleiman, director of the Industries Division. defensive.

The Kan report stated that not only is Sudan on the path to normalizing its relations with Israel, also Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, who is visiting the United States this week, will discuss with US officials the normalization of relations between Israel and other countries.

On his visit to Washington, Lapid will meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.

According to a statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry yesterday, the two sides will discuss progress in relations between Israel and the UAE since the signing of the agreement last year, as well as additional opportunities to advance peace in the Middle East and issues of security and stability in the region.
