TDF has been controlling the tempo of the war after pushing out Abiy and Isaias army out of Tigray. While TDF has been getting stronger and stronger , Abiy and Isaias has tried to relieve the pressure on them by portraying the war is between Amhara and Tigray to involve the Amhara people and they were able to mobilize and recruit significant number of Amhara youth. However, considering the growing mistrust between the Amhara forces and Abiy/Isaias forces, the allied army against Tigray has no shared objectives and is highly fragmented( some times fighting to each other). Therefore, whatever patch work Abiy and Isaias have done by recruiting Amhara forces and the new war equipment( drones, tanks, aircraft etc) they purchased will not enable them to snatch the tempo of the war from TDF.
