In 1896 there was only 1-2 Million Oromos, and 1-2 Million Amharas . Meneliks army was 1/3 Shawa Tulama Oromo nearing 40% at times. Keep in mind Menelik was a Shewan nationalist and emperor of Shewa it is believed his mother is Tulama, he became great and loved so much he became Emperor of all of Ethiopia .
