Amharic cannot be the working language in Ethiopia. Tigrigna is more advanced and civil. There are inuslts for non-Tigraya Ethiopians if they use Tigrigna as national language. We can transfer the Aksumite Legacy to the next generation and the generation after easily. Amharic has no history based justification to be a working language in Ethiopia.
Instead of separating from Ethiopia, Tigrayan elites should Tigranize Ethiopia and change to the best unitary democratic state in the world. Rights are applied if there is a constitutions and enshrining those rights. Confederation, Federation etc are romantic words for the leftist group. What people need is to see a rich country which provides them a future. Ethnic Federalism has failed Ethiopia and needs to be abadoned.

Tigrigna is a late comers language. There we no time in history Tigrigna used in the palace. Amharic and interchangeably Geez were used both during and pre-Axumite kingdom. Please don't push hard, if you do so, you will be hearing the bitter truth about Tigrigna. You probably are originally an Amhara or Afar or Agew than you would think you are Tigre. When it comes to usability, size matters. Amharic has 95 % of the population as its speaker while Tigrigna has 4% population speaker. In any case, we are all Ethiopian, regardless of little stuff of tribe/ethnicity. Ethiopia is the SUN tribe is a piece of candle stick.
