Tigray and Eritrea are not cousins, as Eritrea is Cushitic and Tigray is Semetic

Post by EthioRedSea » 08 Sep 2021, 08:34

Eritrea is mainly Cushitic. They are migrants from Sudan and Central Africa. They are mainly Bantu African migrants. There is nothing wrong with that. It is just mentioning a fact in history. Tigray mainly are semetic and belong to the Mesopotamian Large Family of Semetic people ( Aramiac, Accadien). Of Course they have intermixed with local Cushitic population in Aksumite Empire, but very little as The Tigrayan Culture prohibits intermixing with non-Tigrayans.

The Tigrigna spoken in Eritrea is different from Tigrigna spoken in Tigray. Eritrea used to be a district of Tigray before 1890. Thus Tigraigna spoken in Eritrea is forced on Eritrean cushitic population by Tigrayan Rulers.

Kebessa, Jeberti and Tigregu are same people. Their drama is political but when it comes to cultural, historical/genealogical and linguistically they are same people.

We don't differentiate.

Lowland Eritreans are closer to me than they are to Tigregu and Kebessa

Megbitu is from mesopotamia (present day Iraq). We know she looks like Senegalese, but looks alone is not a factor here lol
