One of the UN officials, Mr. Martin Griffiths, in charge of humanitarian aid is in Ethiopia on six day working visit. It is my hope and wishes that Mr. Martin’s visit and talks with the officials there will be candid and productive. Not a single Ethiopian should starve and die from starvation just because big boys want to duke it out. First thing first. It has to be independently verified if the claim that famine has already existed in Tigray. That has to be verified and accepted by the UN officials. If that is the case aid should be provided by UN agencies tasked with such relief efforts. I know some of you including the federal government officials over there are worried that relief food supplies will fall into the hands of the goons of the TPLF leaders. There is no way to fool proof that. What the UN and other similar humanitarian agencies should never allow to happen is make the TPLF in charge of distributing the relief. If that happens it is gonna look as if humanitarian agencies feeding the Viet Cong, ISIS, Al-Shabaab, Al-Qaeda fighters or one of those commie rebels in South America. That would very wrong and unfortunate. You feed starving innocent civilians! You don't feed murderers, nation's coffers looters and hostile communist thugs!!!
