Italy messed up Eritrea and left

Post by AbyssiniaLady » 30 Jul 2021, 12:59

And Afars are now paying for the mess the Italians left behind in Eritrea, It's been more than one and a half years since the UAE government has closed its small military base in Assab and yet Afars fishermen are not allowed to go fishing in their own God given waters, this is nothing but occupation of Afar land.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of Egyptian and Yemeni fishermen continue pillaging Afar waters, The Italians colonial really messed up Eritrea, they lumped incompatible ethnic groups into one single country and left in a hurry, prior to colonization of Eritrea, Tigrinya were traditionally goat herders who never ventured far from their traditional mud hut villages in & around Asmara and never crossed paths with free as a bird Afar pastoralists nomadic and seafarers.

According to Yemenis seafood association, The largest traditional fishing communities are concentrated in the western Plain of Tehama, where nearly 78,000 fishermen work in fish landing centers along the coastline from Midi to Al Khokha.

AbyssiniaLady,

I beg to differ. The italian colonialist did not mess up eritrea rather they united eris be it highlanders or lowlanders (of course for their own goal). Prior to their arrival, eris were divided, the tigriyan warlords such as dejach wube or alula were pillaging highland eritrea and the lowlanders were looking the other way and not coming to the rescue of the Highlanders. Likewise, the sudanese derbush were pillaging, plundering lowland eritrea but lowlanders were not rescued by their highland compatriots.

That was then. Eris are now united, if any alula type or sudanese derbush type ventures to cross eri borders then it will be a suicide.

Regarding our eri afar ethnic group, the majority of them are proud that they are Eritreans and no wonder in the referendum which was conducted in 1993, over 99% of them voted for eritrea's independence.

kerenite the Afars are an ethnic group, put yourself in their shoes

They had been for centuries one nation, professing one religion, speaking one language and pursuing a single pattern of pastoral nomadic culture and fishing culture that made them distinct from the other Eritreans but when the Italian criminals arrived in Eritrea, they carved them up, they were not given an option to be an independent Afar red sea country by themselves, I think an independent Afar state that is free from Christian extremists, Isaias Afwerki and his mafia occupation is a must for their own survival.

Thousands of Afars have been displaced by Isaias Afwerki and TPLF.

Fighting between Ethiopia’s federal government and forces from the country’s Tigray region has displaced more than two million people since November 2020, according to the U.N. This year, the fighting has shifted in the country’s Afar region, displacing more Ethiopians as well as refugees from neighboring Eritrea seeking safety. For VOA, Vinicius Assis reports from Afdera in Ethiopia’s Afar region.

And the Italians got the foothold into Eritrea through where, you smelly qintir?

By first buying land from the Afar sultans, through the Jesuit Giuseppe Sapeto & the Rubbatino Co. That makes the Afar, the pre-eminent Eritreans.

Plus you 2 cents gaHba, tell us what the Brits & the HS & Mengie regimes did to Eritrea after the Italians had long gone. While you're at it, tell us how ur massah (uncle Sam) messed up Eritreans, decade after decade.

But you won't you coón, because you hate your godz being exposed!!!

That's what happens, when you don't treat the syphillis you contracted at work in the 1970's. I suggest you stop posting nonsense here and go get institutionalised, before it gets worse.

Better yet and for the good of humanity, go & hang yourself!

those slave minded people ask why Eritrean doesn't speak Turk.

simple answer the colonized language died in two generation .. for example if one Eritrean have baby in USA the baby speak in English and when his parent died and he have new baby the new baby speak English and the mother language might die out with in two or 3 generation that is what happened in Eritrea

i give u another example . Eritrean when they were colonized by Amhara they become fluent in Amharic but for the last 30 years the new generation learn Eritrean Agame language and forgetting Amharic one more generation the whole Amharic speaker will die out and they become non speaker of Amharic ...

to sum it up ... the Eritrean forget Turk and learn Italy then when the Amhara come they forget Itlay and learn Amharic now they start to forget Amharic all they need is one more generation and the old timer will die out and they become full Agame speaker nation ... until then Amharic is a king... that is why most Amhric music are popular in Eritrea .. i used to hate is when the Eritrean come to our movie opining any celebration they are their what a people what a waste.

Not true.

Tigrinya is Tigrinya language not Eritrean, there is no Eritrean common language, 8 languages are spoken in Eritrea.

Language is the biggest problems Eritrea is facing today

Everybody speak their own language in Eritrea.
