Please see a quote from WFP report, "The 29 truckloads of wheat, split peas and vegetable oil will cover the urgent food needs of 200,000 people for a week in Tigray. The convoy travelled 445 kilometres from Semera to Mekele via Abala in four days. It passed through over ten checkpoints on the way, where the humanitarian cargo was rigorously checked."
Semera to Mekele is a 7 hours journey. The Ethiopian government is doing all it can to ensure that a 7 hour journey takes 4 days by placing unlimited hurdles. The intent to starve Tigray and use of famine as weapon of war started before November 2020 and still going on with maximum possible vigour. These tactics of delaying food aid from reaching Tigray will eventually be judged by international standard experts when Abiy and his officials are prosecuted for war crimes and genocide.
Do you really think that an expert witness will think making a journey of 7 hours to take 4 days is just a normal behavior? Is it hard to see the intent to "wipe out the Tigrayans" as Ethiopian officials told Pekka Haavisto?
