We ain't there yet but it is very encouraging to see that people are tolerating different party banners and views. This is part of maturity in democracy that people are not mad to see banners of a party they don't like but are willing to tolerate. Tolerating and accommodating diverse views is the essence of democracy. The culture of mannered debate we have witnessed in so many medias and platforms is also an encouraging sign. We have a long way to go and both the government and the opposition need to do their homework better but the little things we are seeing are encouraging. We all have to abandon the radical, toxic and intolerant political discourse and atmosphere.
