(Very graphic video)Time to take urgent action against the Abiy Ahmed regime in Ethiopia!
We received this horrific video from Jimma zone of the Oromia regional state in Ethiopia. As it is vividly seen in the video, government militias killed an Oromo young man and pulled his body to the street. Supporters of the regime chanting in Amharic “ሸኔ ሌባ” (Shane thieves or looters), a chanting full of hate speeches that targeted Oromo nationalism. ‘Shane’ is a defamation name given by the regime to the vanguard Oromo Liberation Front-OLF/ABO, (whose chairman, Daud Ibsa's whereabout is unknown after kept in house arrest), though the organization has never called itself with this name. The regime has recently committed similar barbaric actions everywhere and every single day in Oromia, against nationalist Oromos, among which a public execution of a young boy in Dambi Dollo, Wallaggaa was another unforgettable example of the tragedy. The international community must take urgent action against the Abiy regime before it is too late to stop this fascism that may trigger the worst situation of public rage.
