It was the Italians who introduced us all to football and like the car mechanic we still use many Italian words to describe the beautiful game. Their first stadium in Eritrea was the Campo Sportivo Cicero in Asmara, and in Ethiopia it was the Campo Sportivo "Littorio" in Addis Ababa.
We all know now, well our football is long dead in the Horn of Africa, especially in the once mighty football land of the Asmarinos. Our Ethiopian brothers are barely breathing too. This is not about athletics or bike racing topic; that is another subject.
The once mighty Foot clubs - Hamasien Asmara, Emba-Soyra, Adulis, Asmara Tele, Mendefera, Dire Dawa Cherqacherq, Saint George Addis, Mechal, Ethio Cement, Ethio Bunna, ...
That is what happens when young immature children with guns want to change everything then end up in destruction.
