Ethiopia postponed election indefinitely, the country is at a crossroad

Post by DefendTheTruth » 15 May 2021, 14:38

As if the so called inept opposition and the tooth less diaspora manga were to have any chance from this election, they are dancing about the postponement of the scheduled national parliamentary election which was set for the 5th of June this year, due to some logistics.

FACT: whether the election is postponed or not the opposition has already lost by its own self-inflicted fragmentation, it is in no way to pose any significant challenge to the incumbent.

Why it is crying, the cry has no end, anyway.

At the same time Ethiopia is getting stronger and self-assertive with time, its leader is saying "we are accumulating experience to safeguard the unity of the country and ensure its embarkment on its development agendas".

Fact is also the diaspora manga will keep barking from its distant comfort zones, if it is not about election postponement then definitely about anything else.

In America, there's a saying that goes like this: "Don't change horses in midstream", — meaning don't alter your course of action in the middle of an important operation — and when the phrase is used in Ethiopia's case, the ongoing war on terror in the Tigray region must come into conclusion before the Ethiopian people head to the ballots to elect a leader. Besides, the unprecedented interest being shown by the Western mainstream media into Ethiopia's election should give us pause to question the motives behind their clandestine curiosity.

If history is any indication, the mainstream media most likely have prepared news reports condemning the Ethiopian election as "unfair" and "un-democratic" even before it happened. Such is the world that we live in.

The latest information I have about the so called mainstream media and the other world "supervisors" is that they don't want to observe the election, so they have pulled themselves already out of comenting about it as well. They can't judge something that they didn't want to observe.

Tigray is not part of the current election, according to my latest information as well. So, the operations going on in Tigray and the one around election are two parallel issues, in my view.
