If it is true that they have already taken over the area then it means that there is no mess any more at this stage. It is only messy when contending factions battle each other over a given territory with out any one of them having clear cut upper hand. So what does it really mean in practice when the Amhara militia took over Metekkel and the other militia (Gumuz?) took over this western Ethiopian land area?
To state in the thread topic, "control of country in western Ethiopia" is wrong. The armed group did not control a country in western Ethiopia but may be controlling a small village in western Ethiopia.
