Tigrai has no people of leadership quality, all of them are a bunch of short-sighted idiots who know nothing about executing decision and live by its consequences. If they were true leaders who has the best interest of Tigrai and Tigrians, this is what they should have done to rescue Tigrains from the calamity they are experiencing.
Two fronts war
Except the Rashidun caliphate who won against the Romans and Persian simultaneously, no power on earth won a war when it was confronted from two fronts.and let alone the dedebit cockroaches, not even the oiled German war machine could wage two front war and win it. Simply, your so called leaders overestimated their oral teret teret and they sat like a lame duck with out doing nothing despite war was hovering over their their existence from two fronts.
If they were true leaders and with modest intelligence level, this is what they could have done to save Tigrians.
First option/Northern Front
If they were reluctant to execute the final and binding eritrean-ethiopian border commission verdict under their watch and lose face to their old nemesis, they could have let dr Abiye to own the border issues. By doing so, they neutralize the northern threat and expose the Eritrean dictator excuse to cling to power for 27 years under transitional government regime. In fact, if they were even smarter, they could have neutralized the northern threat the day the border commission verdict was announced from The Hague 20 years ago. They could have settled the issue once and for all as winners by just stating, we defeated aggression and as a country of rule of law, we accept the border commission verdict in its entirely. This simple decision could have held the dictator accountable and responsible for the reason why the war was executed poorly to Eritrea advantage by the same people who are in prison and other patriots and Eritreans at large. But the decision of the leeches of doing nothing or refusing to accept the border commission verdict, gave the dictator the legitimacy and legit reason to incarcerate all independent minded Eritreans who could challenge him. This is another blunder and impotence of the so called Tigrai leadership at their best.
Second option/Souther Front
When dr Abiye was waging heavy war against the OLF in Oromia and Abdi Ilje in Jigjiga, instead of joining the fray and deflect the attention of the federal government not to extinguish potential allies one by one, the leeches preferred to stay passive and neutral and allowed potential allies to get vaporized one by one.
Third option/Build your defenses
The leeches ruled Ethiopia for almost 30 years, and despite they made Tigrians the most hated Ethnic group in the region, they didn't prepare the kilil for any possible eventuality of war. They could have dispatched their soldiers to Russia or North Korea to get some basic war training and how to defend your cities from falling to enemy hands but they were preoccupied to accumulate wealth and dine and wine in fancy and expensive restaurants.
