Because independent tigrai will publically be a puppet of the west and east and arabs and any country with power. Imagine of tigrai was a headache for eritrea, ethiopia, somalia, sudan when it was just a kilil of ethiopia, if it's an independent then it will be 100 times more headache and a hiding ground for terrorist and thugs from all over the world. My point is tigrai must never be independent but be contained and controlled with iron fist at all times.
