This is an Oromiya bank teller. Are you going to believe this guy and put your money in Oromiya bank? if you even think you must be crazy or you are an Agame junta because they do not have anywhere to go. This is my humble opinion. Amhara Bank must be open to all Ethiopians regardless of their nationalities. It should be lead by higher standards of ethical integrity, honesty, equality. It has to serve everybody equally and even its name should reflect its higher aspirations, thus it name has to reflect that. Even weyanes didn't name their bank Tigre Bank through the bank served single-handedly to be TPLF money-laundering enterprise. I know the people in it are a high caliber and competent people and would do much better in the service of Ethiopia.

As smart business people when they name their Bank Amhara they are selling the Amhara people's ethics and trustworthiness is doesn't mean they are serving only Amharas. Amhara is the backbone of ethiopianness and other peoples also believed that. That value is reflected in the name of the bank. The same bravado that you are preaching now makes Amhara people pay a huge price.

Actually, a very strong Amhara sentiment will drive the hardliner Oromos like shimelise, Adanaech, and many others to unity because Amhara values are peace, trustworthiness, hard-working, and respect for others. It is the same as the Ethiopian flag that motivated many African countries to follow pan-Africanism and fight for their independence. Strong Amhara is very different from strong Tigre because we have seen how they change Tigre to daylight hyena, liers, and street rollers.

The Oromos also just before they got power already started looting and harassing under the slogan of Kegna. Imagine how many times they rob banks as if it is enemies' property they do not have any regard for the law. That is what drives peoples to invest in Amhara Bank because of the Amahara people's reputation of trustworthiness. Calling yourself Amhara it doesn't make you like the Galla and Tigre tribalist Amhara ness is different it is like getting closer to GOd.

Well, Mr Lakeshore, What you are claiming has been claimed by all other tribalists, we are Golden, we are the measure of Ethiopianness, we are the egalitarian who going to bring equality etc. When you attach a virtue/ Virtues to a specific group excluding others, there starts the problem. Actually, Ethiopian patriotism has more virtues, By just being inclusive of the others.
If as you said 6 billion was invested by none-amharas, it isn't because they are Amaharas they come in droves to invest but because they know the leadership in addition being Amharas they have a proven record of integrity. If you say that integrity was an innate nature for Amharas, then the Amhara people wouldn't have gone through hell for the past 27 years. At times we need to curb our enthusiasm for nationalist hyperbola. let us rely on ethical character and deeds. Let us judge every Ethiopian on that ground.. that is more reliable and fair to all.

I agree with what you are saying on many points. The Amhara region and peoples were forced to be organized on ethnic line did they choose no did they like it no but it is put upon them by force under the name of federalism and constitution. Sometimes even I do not blame some of the Amhara party leadership in the past because they were forced to stand for tribalistic rule that they do not believe in. The Gala and Agame parties know that there is no ethnic-centric sentiment among Amhara peoples. Therefore, they planned to weaken the Amhara people by pushing this tribalism agenda and taking some of the Amhara lands away from the peoples.

Some might argue that Amhara wants unity because it was an oppressing tribe, most people know that is not the case but during medieval Ethiopia, Amhara passed through a similar ethnic-based division and brought unity again. Therefore, they understand ethnic or tribal-based federation will not work.

However, in order to protect its people's life and their interest until the constitution is reformed or changed, they have to stir through the turmoil according to the present law of the land. Under the current law, they can ensure their own security, build their economy and negotiate for greater autonomy. As we witness now even foreign countries believed that Amhara means united Ethiopia. That is why Sudan and Egypt put their focus on Amhara because they do not believe Amahra will be separated from Ethiopia but the others are waiting for the fall of Amhara in order to disintegrate Ethiopia and they are threatening Amhara by disintegrating Ethiopia. They believe it is only Amhara fights for unity. Therefore, we have to build our capacity and get ready for the worst scenario and protect Amhara in different regions of Ethiopia then and only then the others will come to unity.
