Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is considering a move for Real Sociedad youngster Alexander Isak.

The Swedish forward, 21, is enjoying a breakthrough season in La Liga, with 12 goals in the Spanish top flight this term.

That includes 10 in his last nine games — a run which has prompted big interest from across the continent.

Sociedad paid Borussia Dortmund £6million to take Isak in 2019 but he is now rated at around 10 times that figure.

Dortmund are understood to have an agreement in place to resign the player at the end of each season for around £25m but Isak has said he does not want to return to the Bundesliga club.

City are keeping tabs on his progress and, if they decide to make a move this summer, they are likely to offer cash and a player.

Isak has won 18 caps for Sweden and became the youngest goalscorer in their history when he hit the first goal in a 6-0 victory over Slovakia in 2017, his second game for his country.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen on Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak and is considering a move for the 21 year-old, according to the Mirror.

Isak is one of Spanish football’s brightest young stars. This season the Swedish forward has broken onto the scene this season with 12 goals in 20 games in La Liga. That goal return, combined with the age of the player, has inevitably seen Isak linked with many big clubs around Europe.

With Sergio Aguero’s career at the Etihad winding down, the Manchester City hierarchy will be on the hunt for a new centre- forward in the summer.

And although Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland has been tagged as Manchester City’s number one priority, nearly every big club in Europe has been linked to the Norwegian, which could require the Premier League club to consider other options.

The Mirror understands that Isak’s former club Borussia Dortmund do have an agreement in place to resign the player at the end of each season for around £25 million. However, it is claimed that Isak has stated that he does not want to return to the German giants.

It is claimed that Manchester City will continue to monitor the player's progress over the next few months, and should they wish to launch a proposal in the summer, it is likely to offer cash and a player.

Popular statistics website Transfermrarkt https://www.transfermarkt.us/ values the Swedish striker at around £20 million, however recent reports have shown that it may require nearly three times that amount to pry Isak away from La Real.

Horn of Africa: NGOs exploited, Ethiopia and Eritrea take them to court

By Robert Crowe

https://www.africanmedias.com/horn-of-a ... eSo4GFBiEg

FEBRUARY 27, 2021

States that are accused without any evidence should bring Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) that are being used, even despite themselves, as instruments of undue pressure before an international tribunal and prosecute them for their subversive work. Using the good faith of members and their status as recognised international organisations to implement destabilising political campaigns by infiltrating minorities who almost always plot in the shadows can no longer be tolerated. It is a question of credibility and clarity that concerns the entire NGO system. This is, in fact, the position of Ethiopia and Eritrea, which are commonly about to call for an international commission of enquiry to investigate what has happened in the Horn of Africa in recent months.

The case of Amnesty being used instrumentally to destabilise Eritrea is widely regarded as egregious. There have been various episodes in recent decades that have seen this organisation used instrumentally, almost always by the Tigrinya ethnic minority, in order to promote a change of regime in a country considered unmanageable. The emblematic case was when communications were even found from Amnesty officials in the Nairobi office instructing their members to go to Eritrea as tourists but with the secret aim of
creating the conditions for an Arab Spring in Eritrea,
i.e. to overthrow the current government.

It is well known that international services use the cover of NGOs to advance their strategic objectives. This is seriously damaging both to the credibility of the NGOs, most of which actually work for humanitarian purposes, and the countries that are victims of these discredit campaigns.

The latest report on the Axum massacres, published and circulated with extensive media coverage and without any verification of the facts, is based on the testimonies of members of the Tplf (Tigray People Liberation Front) party, which was first defeated politically by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Nobel Peace Prize winner Abiy Ahmed, and then militarily by the Ethiopian army after having planned the destruction of the Ethiopian state and having been guilty of horrible crimes. Publicly proven crimes such as the terrible massacre of Mai Kadra also planned to accuse others’ troops.

Those who follow Ethiopian affairs and have done a minimum of research in recent months on social networks and websites of the diaspora of this country in the Horn of Africa well know the media campaign of misinformation organized with the use of “trolls” (professional saboteurs of the web) to paint the Ethiopians and Eritreans as criminal murderers and Tigrayans of PLTF as innocent victims in need of protection. A false scaremongering put in place even before the intervention of the Ethiopian army in Tigray. Lies fabricated to overturn a historical reality documented by peace agreements, by public speeches of President Abiy, and by decades of prevarication that the Tigrayans, a community still in possession of large assets stolen from Ethiopia and international organisations, have perpetrated against the Oromo and Amara, the largest Ethiopian ethnic groups, and against Eritrea.

These campaigns are organised by structures operating from abroad, such as Digital Woyane, a group of Tigrayan activists who – as revealed by various Ethiopian and Eritrean sources – spread a lot of false news and attack on social media anyone who tries to present a narrative different from their own. As was the case with the accusations on the Axum massacre, defined by the Asmara government as
absurd and infamous.
An activity of disinformation, as defined by the Eritrean Minister of Information, which
must be unmasked as soon as possible as well as the previous ones, to avoid that a people known in the region for its great sense of civic duty and for its altruism be muddied with impunity by forces that seek to change the current geopolitical framework of the Horn of Africa.
In a note relayed in Italy by ANSA, Eritrea categorically rejected what it called the absurd accusations made against it by Amnesty International. According to a report by the NGO, Eritrean soldiers killed “hundreds of civilians” in November 2020 in Tigre, a region north of Ethiopia.

The report, says Information Minister Yemane G. Meskel and Eritrea’s Ambassador to Italy Petros Fessahazion in a joint statement,
is largely based on the testimonies of some 31 people from the Hamdayet refugee camp in Sudan. It is known that many in this camp are members of the TPLF militia who fled to Sudan after their involvement in the horrific massacre and ethnic cleansing of hundreds of civilians in Mai- Kadra in early November last year.
Now, the feeling is that this story does not end here. After decades of misinformation, it seems that Ethiopia and Eritrea, as we were saying, are actually activating for an international legal action that defends their reasons and at the same time protects the NGOs from the attempts of exploitation carried out by minorities defeated by history, such as the Tigrinya. A question of clarity has now become unavoidable.

The following is a video in which an Ethiopian television station unmasks a fake priest who claims to have been a witness to the Axum massacres and who, in reality, is a Tigrayan living in Boston named Michael Berhe.

Amnesty International — A tool of Chaos and Instability

By Aman Nebiat

Survivors of the Mai-Kadra massacre, carried by Tigray Region youth group called Samri, recover at the Gondar University Hospital, in the city of Gondar, Ethiopia, Nov. 20, 2020.

For more than a 100 years, the African continent has suffered brutal colonization by European countries and each African state has a unique history of colonization that can fill volumes of books. One of these countries is South Africa which was tossed back and forth between Portugal, the Dutch and England until finally it was “granted” its independence in 1910. Three years later, the controversial 1913 Land Act was passed which banned black South Africans from owning any land and forced them to live in reserves. To this day, the vast majority of black South Africans live in utter poverty and do not own any land. As a result, the South African government is forced to come up with a solution to settle the legacy of this cruel Act in a fair and equitable way; which has proven to be controversial and not an easy feat.

In 1914, National Party (NP) an all-white Afrikaner brotherhood was established and in 1948 came to power. As soon as it came to power, the NP established the Apartheid legislation that consolidated the barbaric 1913 Land Act and broadening it to include arrest and murder of Zulu leaders and ANC Party leader Nelson Mandela. This went on, until a revolt that started in 1984 brought the Apartheid to its knees in 1989.

Today, it is very important to look at the status of the African continent with this dark and ugly history of colonialism in the background as the days of European armies landing on the shores of African states killing Africans openly are long gone and replaced with silent, more sinister and hateful means of colonization that employs global institutions such as the UN, EU, IMF, World Bank, WTO, HRW, Amnesty International, USAID, NATO, AFRICOM, AMISOM, AGOA and more while forcing Neo-Colonialism Agenda to the African institutions such as African Union & IGAD.

All of these institutions are tightly controlled and run by the US with Britain, France, Canada & Japan acting as allies all serving to advance world hegemony agenda of the United States. With all of these institutions working in unison pushing a revisionist policy of the United States to spread “Liberal Democracy” especially since the start of the Unipolar World order in the 1990s, African nations with their fragile governments, internal ethnic conflicts left by the colonial powers as time bombs and debilitating poverty and illiteracy, stood no chance to assert themselves and reject the
Silent Invasion/Neo-Colonization.
In addition to the aforementioned global institutions, the Golden Goose has laid some rotten eggs who have committed some of the most unspeakable crimes against humanity. Burning an entire village full of women and children [https://www.hrw.org/report/2008/06/12/c ... gaden-area] and forcible sterilization of young girls of the Amhara Ethnic group [https://satenaw.com/who-is-directly-res ... ara-women/] are just examples that have been employed by a government party entrusted as a neighborhood watch and to do the dirty job.

One such government was the TPLF that ruled Ethiopia for 27 years baptized as a “Regional Power House” and given free rein to do whatever it wishes, as long as it obeys its masters’ orders. Since it came to power with the help of the EPLF in 1990, the TPLF drafted a national constitution that included in it the famous “Article 39”; a racist constitutional law that is similar to the Apartheid legislation passed by the former NP party of South Africa.

The aim of Article 39, was to break the once cohesive and united Ethiopian population along ethnic lines and included a clause that gave any Ethnic groups the right for self-determination up-to separation into its own statehood. Furthermore, each ethnic group was encouraged to see the other ethnic groups as a threat to its existence and with time this started to create tension and animosity among regions which resulted in ethnic based killings, forced displacements and made it easy for the TPLF to ethnically profile, harass, arrest and torture anyone.

This went on for 27 years under the watchful eyes of its masters and never once has the TPLF faced any kind of sanctions, charges for crimes against humanity other than the lame
The US urges all sides to exercise restraint,
The UN calls on all sides to negotiate
which meant for TPLF to
do what you want; just don’t do it openly to make us look worse than we are.
Even as the TPLF gunned down 75 protesters in broad day light who were protesting the 2015 rigged election results where the TPLF claimed to have won 100% of the votes, the diplomatic, financial and weapons supplies from the West continued to flow in for this trusted rotten child; the “TPLF”. [

Fast forward to 2018, after 27 years of suffering, chaos, and destructions Ethiopians have had enough and the famous FANO & QERRO youth chased the heinous demons with sticks and rocks to Mekele city in Tigray North of Ethiopia. Dazed and totally caught off guard, these criminals started regrouping in Mekele and for 2 ½ years engaged in all sorts of sabotages and criminal activities to undermine the efforts of the Prosperity Party to unite Ethiopians and create an all-inclusive government.

Furuthermore, though it failed to achieve its main objective of creating unrest and to unseat PM Dr. Abiy Ahmed’s government, assassination of Hachalu Hundessa the popular Oromo singer and a known critic of the TPLF in late June of 2020 is a prime example. [https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2020 ... y-alliance]

On September 9, 2020 the TPLF held a local parliamentary election defying the Ethiopian Federal Governments’ order not to do so. As the world and the Ethiopian Government was fighting off the deadly transmission of Covid-19 pandemic, the TPLF junta leaders belligerently held elections running against themselves and jeopardizing the health of the Tigray people and claimed again winning the rigged election with 100% of the votes.

TPLF junta armed itself to the neck and with all plans finalized, the top junta leadership gave a green light to start the offensive. On Nov 4, 2020 “TPLF militia” and “Special forces” backed by locals composed of children as old as 15 year-olds both boys and girls attacked the camp of the Ethiopian National Defense Force Northern Command famously known as the “Semien EZ”; while soldiers were sleeping exhausted after weeks of hard work helping Tigray people to battle the worst locust swarm the resgion has seen in 25 years. [https://www.ena.et/en/?p=18561]

This act of National Treason and Terrorism, forced the Ethiopian Federal government and local Amhara regional forces to take action and restore order in the country. In return, the TPLF junta fled towns it previously governed while on their way massacred over 600 innocent civilians in Mai Kadra, a town with majority residents of the Ethnic Amhara, just to simply instigate an ethnic-based civil war in Ethiopia. [ https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-ethi ... KKBN2840LR]

The TPLF junta continued their rampage of killing innocent civilians in many towns and villages, placing them into mass graves as the Ethiopian Federal Army chased the criminal TPLF junta out to caves and the outskirts saving many lives of the terrorized local civilians. Additionally, as it fled every city, the TPLF retreating militias took some 13,000 inmates out of the prisons with them and congregated them in Mekele providing them with Eritrean Military Uniforms and instructed them to loot and massacre the general population, pretending to be the Eritrean Forces. Ironically, the TPLF claimed on Nov., 19 2020 that the town of Axum was under its control though the town of Shire had fallen to Ethiopian Defense Forces.

In light of this reporting, how is it that Amnesty International issued a slanderous and politically motivated report accusing Eritrean Military Forces for murdering 800 civilians who took shelter at a church in Axum while TPLF has claimed that it occupied the city? [https://www.reuters.com/article/ethiopi ... NKBN27Z0Z8.]

Additionally, why is it that all of the witnesses Amensty International used are all from the Refugee Camp in Hamdayet Sudan who allegedly have committed the Mai Kadra massacre before crossing in to Sudan? [https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/ ... -humanity/]

Furthermore, why has Amnesty International completely ignored all of the atrocities committed by the TPLF and is squaring the blame at Eritrea who has been a victim of the indiscriminate shelling by the TPLF? AI vilified Eritrea without even requesting any clarification or any sorts of communication with Eritrean officials, even though the Ethiopian Federal Government has time and again explained that Eritrean military did not enter Ethiopia? The AI report leaves so many voids and unanswered questions, however, nothing better can be expected from Amnesty International; an organization who is known for publishing intentionally misleading and politically motivated reports.

Crimes against humanity regardless of who commits them should be condemned in the strongest words, globally. During the 30 years of its struggle for independence, the EPLF was known for its human treatment of captured soldiers let alone to kill innocent civilians and rape women and children and this honored tradition of respect for humanity is true and fabric of the Eritrean Army now. [
Amnesty International was silent, when over 100,000 Eritreans were deported from Ethiopia between 1998–2000 and when half a million Internally Displaced Eritreans were living in temporary makeshift shelters for more than 20 years; due to TPLF’s illegal and flagrant occupation of Eritrean land.

In its latest report on the so called non-existent “Axum Massacre; by Eritrean Soldiers,” Amnesty International has proven once again to Ethiopians, Eritreans, the HOA and the world at large that, contrary to what it claims to stand for, it is actually a defender of criminals and murderous groups specifically the TPLF in this case. Eritreans equivocally reject with the strongest words the libelous and politically motivated witch hunt report issued by Amnesty International and demand an investigation to be made to the making of the report. [https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/ ... -humanity/]

In this century, led by social media, AI should care about its reputation and not report such irresponsible report to defame innocent people and write careless reports that can instigate war and mislead the international community to take the wrong decisions to further disqualify their credible involvement with Eritrea and Ethiopia. In the last 27 years of TPLF era, the people of Eritrea and Ethiopia have suffered tremendously caused by such misguided and sinister reports by AI and the likes. Additionally, in the last 2 ½ years, Amnesty International has poured salt to our injuries by reporting lies and fabricated negative stories against Eritrea aimed at disturbing the peace and friendship established between the two brotherly nations of Ethiopia and Eritrea. To this point, AI is no different than the murderous TPLF you chose to defend at the expense of all the suffering of Eritreans and Ethiopians. The ball is on your court to prove yourself to the international community that you stand for humanity, while independent organizations will soon be investigating the truth and tell the world of what really happened. In which the,
Truth Stick might get stretched out but it will never break
as only time and evidence will uncover the truth.

Eritrea will always prevail. Peace & prosperity to the world but mostly to HOA, a region that has suffered tremendouly in the last 80 years.
