Thanks Revelations ; this is enlightening. But I still wonder when did they claim the Axum “massacre” had occurred ?
Because they lie nonstop, it is very difficult to believe anything they say.

Nov 30 is the key. So if any massacre had happened, it must be by the terrorists TPLF. Otherwise those who died must be either terrorists militias or terrorist so called TPLF special force. Amnesty lost credibility and its reputation in the Horn of Africa. I have never thought about they are this shallow and their investigation shows unsophisticated. Hope they will revised if they live up to their NAME. Otherwise they will remain just political tool to some quarters and no one will either believe or take them seriously in our region. They are playing dangerous game.

The date for that story keeps changing. First it was on the day of Hidar Mariam celebrations as worshipers gathered at the church. Now, who knows, do you?

Ethiopia: Massacre in Aksum

The Associated Press has spoken to witnesses that confirmed the massacre in Aksum that was first reported in late December. The massacre occurred the last weekend of November in and around the Church of St. Mary of Zion, in Aksum, the witnesses report. An anonymous deacon AP spoke to who helped to collect and identify some bodies estimated 800 deaths in the nearby vicinity of the church, while further thousands may have been killed in the city. Furthermore, he thinks that in rural areas the situation could be worse and that the number of people killed there is higher. On 28 November, Eritrean troops engaged in heavy fighting with local fighters based in Aksum.

Leader of Ethiopia’s rebel Tigray forces says Axum town ‘with us’

ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) – The leader of rebel forces in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region said on Thursday that the town of Axum remained in their hands though another locality, Shire, had fallen to federal troops seeking to close in on the state capital Mekelle.

“Shire has fallen three days back but Axum is with us, but there is an army sent to control Axum, but there is a fight,” Debretsion Gebremichael, who heads the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), said in a text to Reuters.

The head of the government task force for Tigray did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

The Reuter’s report shades some light. It seemed they had amassed fighting force in Axum, most probably moving logistics and personnel from everywhere in order to stay their ground there.
They most probably chose Axum, not believing they win there, but contemplating the world would cry saying the Ethiopian government is killing church goers. And they extrapolate that assumption in believing the world will put pressure on the Ethiopian government to negotiate. They seemed to have been desperately wanted negotiation, but the Ethiopian army rooted them out in no time. They did not get a chance for their plan to unfold.
Well, the fallback tactic came to life : the Ethiopian army or the Eritrean — it is hard to tell what they are saying because the story changes from day to day — massacred Orthodox christians in their place of worship.
This one gets some staying power because the TPLF supporters cried foul all over the social media.
Now, It is time for Ethiopians to tell what it really has happened.
I have a feeling this lie will crumble when the international media gets access to unfiltered information.

Revelations, keep digging. This fabricated lie should be proven with a short time what it is : a lie.
The lie is printed in NewYork Times, CNN, Amnesty International and in many those tiny Western European countries.
The Ethiopian government for a reason I do not understand is hesitant to expose the lie.
I believe the Ethiopian government should know how and when the lie was manufactured and spread around the world. And it is time to expose it.
